Re: Real Housewifes of SLC

Oh my heck! Sisters Betty-Sue and Eldora would be great for this show, they really amplify the gospel! And what about that bishop's wife in the 5th ward? She is good at home canning and playing the piano in Junior Sunday School.

The right side of the Mormon mouth continues to instill fear, demand obedience, and checks your underwear for the authorized pattern.
This might be similar to Bishop Roulette. The guiding principle here will be "missions are like a box of chocolates" you never know what you will get.

Re: Why would you want to help the needy ?

Trumpian economics may be the causative factor at play here both in terms of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and the lack of empathy on the part of your church leaders.

I think Progressive Christianity is pretty life-affirming and Universalism distributes God's love to all.

The closest piece would be Mussorgsky's Night On Bald Mountain . https://www.youtube.com/watch?reload=9&v=iCEDfZgDPS8 Ha! You only say that because you are seeking to shield Grieg's In the Hall of the Mountain King from such an association! https://www.youtube.com/watch?reload=9&v=kLp_Hh6DKWc

Different guy, but also in Utah...my son's friend did the 23andme DNA thing and found out he's the son of a sperm bank technician and has about 1000 siblings. It must be quite a shock.
Did this make the news?

... the BOM does not match the quality of Mozart's works.
Classical music would demand many variations on the It came to pass theme. The closest piece would be Mussorgsky's Night On Bald Mountain.

Re: Ballard: 'BSA left the church, we didn't leave them'

I think what Ballard may have meant was that the BSA decided to no longer exclude gay scouts, which inflamed the Brethren's feelings.

The exact incantation for LDS Necromancing
In brightest day, in blackest night,
Resting spirits shall serve me right,
Rise from graves, be in my sight
Heed my power... Melchizedek Priesthood might!
Hope this is not giving away too much advanced Temple ceremony stuff.

Re: Giving Blessings

Belief in the efficacy of the blessing is more contingent on the individual's own physiological reaction to something comforting than it is to the supernatural powers of the blesser. If you wish to ease their suffering, then be empathetic and solemn in playing your part. "The Chief Penguin drew hims...

And take Praise to the Man out of the hymnbook. The beautiful music for this song is borrowed from an old Irish/Gaelic tune. It has forever been ruined for me.... :x Praise to the Man can be equally set to the melody from Hail to the Chief. As a matter of fact, the next time Trump campaigns in Utah...

Here are some excellent articles from a crack investigative unit in Hawaii on the scope of this problem. Peterson is mentioned numerous times. Baby selling is apparently a very lucrative business. https://www.civilbeat.org/2018/11/why-a-crackdown-on-this-growing-adoption-pipeline-just-hasnt-worked-2...

Or is he subliminally implying that in some cases being a Latter-day Saint can put one above the law? Being LDS (and Republican) has not only helped a couple of criminal Attorney Generals escape jail time but ultimately netted them remuneration from the State of Utah. Elder Rasband's comment was me...

Or mustard on pastrami with rye bread, or whole cranberries with roast turkey (hey, it's November). As Tevye would say, "Tradition!"
