Have you achieved "moksha" in a way that you would recognize?
I was looking for Nirvana and all I found was Moksha.

Here is a very important burger story from Carl's Jr. : Carl's Jr. has announced it will be selling a CBD-infused burger at one of its locations in Denver, on 4/20. Carl's Jr. senior vice president of marketing, Patty Trevino, explains: "We are a West Coast brand. The states out in the West Coast ha...

Interesting. One thing to consider- I bet there's a LOT more volume of material to quote from GAs than there is from Jesus. Take that for whatever it's worth.
Plus, the General Authorities are constantly in touch with one another.

Being Your Brother's Keeper

Ran into an old forum thread that examined LDS thoughts on Being Your Brother's Keeper . It is interesting how the TBM interpretation of this expression hedges upon conservative political philosophy. https://thirdhour.org/forums/topic/27660-being-our-brothers-keeper/ What are your thoughts on this s...

Re: Winter is Coming in April

I binged on GOT over the free HBO weekend on xfinity. Im now up to S3 E5. cant wait for the next free weekend. A survey by Geek.Com found that GOT was the most binge-watched show in the USA. In Utah, the most binge-watched show was When Calls the Heart on the Hallmark Channel. Of course, another Ut...

I do like New Age music and that song is great background music for reading forum posts. Although Moksha is a religious concept, the closest one word synonym in English would be liberation.

According to the Common Liturgical Calendar, tomorrow will be Ruby Tuesday, followed by Spy Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, Super Saturday, and Easter Sunday.

Spy Wednesday gets its name because that is the day on which Judas betrayed Jesus to the General Authorities in the Sanhedrin.

Do we even need to mention Hitler here? I remember seeing this documentary where Hitler had some of his agents trying to capture the Ark of the Covenant which was buried in some ancient Egyptian tomb. The plan was to ship it back to Berlin and have this French archeologist dress up as a Jewish Prie...

Re: Russel Nelson kneels and kisses the feet of LGBT advocates

Foot washing and kissing can be thought of as being both an exercise in humility as it was practiced in the Bible, as well as an expression of foot fetishism.

Re: Is There A Connection Between The Policy Reversal & New Legislation Passed In Utah?

The Church did contribute to the passage of this legislation when they announced they would not be opposing this year's hate crimes bill in the legislature. This legislation has been introduced in the legislature for many years and it usually does not make it out of committee. The Church was signali...

Message from Mormon.Org

I got a most interesting email message today from Mormon.Org. It was titled, " Happy Palm Sunday ". That is the first time I have ever heard mention of Palm Sunday in the LDS Church. Is this something new? Is the LDS Church starting to embrace traditional Christian celebrations and nomenclature? Wil...

If this is just between some close TBM friends who do not feel guarded in their answers:

"So do we get our own planet or what?"

"How many wives in the Celestial Kingdom do you think you might qualify for?"

"What qualities would you tell your DH to look for in a Sister-Wife?"

Re: Manti Temple Rumor

And that's why the Manti temple architecture is kinda Native-American. One of my missionary companions told me that theory. Looks kind of like a medieval castle to me with its merlons on top for the Manti Legion to shoot their muskets at a swarming horde of Union soldiers. The towers seem sort of b...

The lady from the article made a wonderful point about how this is kicking sand in the eyes of all families that vary from Nelson's ideal family. Plus, it is one more attempt at establishing God as running an after-market retirement center for Pharisees.
