Hmmm. Those wombats must be Christians.
Pretty sure the non-theist wombats are making their burrows available as sanctuaries as well. I doubt the non-theist wombats will also be greeting the fire victims with a plate of cookies.

Isn't the policy basically that the Brethren should control the rights of women?

So, the God I know uses the "F" word to get my attention, I don't know what that means.
He probably has a thing for Old English expletives.

Re: LDS Wombats help fire victims

Relief societies in the local Stakes have been scrambling to make little yellow t-shirts. The yellow t-shirts emblazoned with the words Volunteer - LDS Church would give much-needed publicity. It would make up for that fiasco on Zandar Prime, where one of the cinematographers for the I Am Mormon ca...

Re: Do You Love the Lord?

He listed the things in the handbook 1, like vasectomies. But the way he said it was very condescending, and implied that adults can't make their own life decisions. Vasectomies are a medically elective procedure and are not a moral issue of concern to the Church. Asking that question only shows ho...

Random morning thought: Burial in temple clothes = "Virtue signaling for the dead."
I would assume there are no social norms governing the wearing of white after Labor Day in Spirit Paradise.

Re: Universal Resurrection confusion

The insistence on a physical resurrection so we can continue practicing polygamy to populate the planets, does pose some logistical and material problems. All our dust gets scattered and reintroduced into other organic matter and our water molecules redistributed around the planet.

On an atomic level, you are not the same person you were five years ago. On a molecular level, you are not the same person you were five years ago. On a cellular level, you are not the same person you were five years ago.

A lot of these should be rejected, but others are head scratchers?
I would assume the decision-makers fasted and prayed about the unusual plates.

Re: Burial in temple clothes

Like most parts of a burial ceremony, it is for the living. The deceased being buried in ceremonial clothes helps the family establish their religious orthodoxy. Just be glad the religious customs do not demand a eulogy while on a pogo stick.

If you could ask believers questions about this week's Come Follow Me lesson, what would you ask?
Shouldn't Lehi have suspected that an order to kill was from Satan, since God said quite explicitly, "Thou shalt not kill"?

Re: Rough Sunday

Would it throw the Sunday School program out of whack if you were honest and mentioned the seer stone in the hat? You could lead into it by asking the kids what their favorite kind of rock was and asking them if they remembered the hat in Harry Potter.

Have fun.
