Re: So yeh?....what's going on?

Right about now I need something to entertain me. Even the church is failing at that!

It used to be fun to speculate and revel in the predictions/changes of the church. Now they are just boring.

My GAWD,...how did I ever stand listening to decades or LDS conference!

Re: So yeh?....what's going on?

I can't even find much on Google for news coming from the Church.

Is this conference as boring as the others?!!!!

So yeh?....what's going on?

I'm not watching conference. Any big things coming out? Or, as predicted, its a dud?

Re: My blood is boiling - stranded church member with health issues

There DOES seem to be a serious lack of prophecy, doesn't there.

Re: COVID-19 -- game in play

Its interesting that they are reluctant to test in Utah. I have a family member who has all the symptoms,...but is younger so is being told to stay home; she will not be tested, by the direction of the TEST people. I think the numbers are very under-reported at this point. She may have it...its a re...

Re: Preppers (Cytokine Storm)...

Got some unconfirmed info. A prepper friend of mine has a friend in FEMA who went down to Central America sometime ago. The word out in the community, through that person, is that the CDC is underreporting things. Something called "Cytokine Storm" is showing up with this virus, and its not just goin...

Re: Conference What Will The Prophet Say

I believe they will fall back on old prophecies about the end of days, and from that will hide behind others who they can't "speak evil of", even though there were bigoted cult leaders. There was a book published years ago named: "Prophets, Principles and National Survival". Its a doozer. Anything y...

Preppers (Cytokine Storm)...

I've been out of the loop for a while. Before finding this group I trolled several other online groups, one of which was the AVOW (A voice of Warning). It was composed mostly of preppers, and ex-John Bircher's of which, I confess, I am one. Go figure..... Anyway, I remember the fervor sweeping that ...

Re: Earthquake in SLC

The Angel Moroni's trumpet fell off. This will be the lead story tonight on KSL and at the Deseret News. I thought you were joking! But you weren't. What about that story where they put in the elevator shafts because Truman Angel knew, by revelation, that elevators would be used, but "had not been ...

Re: COVID-19 -- game in play

I know one of the inner city principals in the SLC Area....k through 6. They just got the word that K12 schools are closing (soft close) for 2 weeks, and kids are supposed to do their work from home. The school has ipads they can check out to the kids...HOWEVER, a lot of those families do not have W...

COVID-19 -- game in play

Hello All, Been a while since I posted. I'm pretty much blown away with the fallout so far with the CARONOVIRUS. I listened to Governor Herbert's announcements yesterday and how they are affecting people across the state. I then saw my company mandate a WFH policy across the board, hear about the sc...

Yeh yeh. Actually...that was a quote from 28 Days with Sandra Bullock. I plagiarized.

Jokes aside...the bottom line for me is resurrection is contradictory.

Re: Universal Resurrection confusion

To equate the poorly phrased "that same body" with an utter restoration of each body cell might be tempting and might even raise the question you have presented but I don't think (I'd have to check for sure) that the Biblical scripture makes such an ambiguously worded claim. It sounds more like a 1...

Universal Resurrection confusion

Mormon's believe in a universal resurrection, which includes plants and animals. As I recall, they also believe that the same body which you die in is what will be resurrected--IE, the same cells and material, etc. As a young person I had a problem with the whole idea. I am composed of the plants an...

Re: "Thirst for my blood..."

I checked for that quote online, and apparently it first appears as a second hand account by Daniel Tyler in the Aug. 15,1892 "Juvenile Instructor." Wilford Woodruff and others give an account of Joseph saying something like this during the Kirtland Banking crisis, so it's likely that Joseph said s...

"Thirst for my blood..."

OK,...I've been gone a while, but when I was out for a walk a few days ago and having a relaxing thought, the question came to mind: "How many things have I been taught that are totally false?" A big one jumped to mind. "When you enlist to serve the Lord Jesus Christ you leave neutral ground forever...

Re: Mission rules are now just suggestions.

During my mission time, our traveling GA told us it was a toss-up between who had the strictest mission, us or one other mission. We weren't allowed to leave the flat without our whites,...including doing laundry or anything else. Music was allowed, but ONLY MO-TAB. And, there were a bunch of other ...
