Re: Bruce McConkie days

That is an EXCELLENT lead. Thank you. Specifically, it seems like Bruce was a VERY strong proponent that death only happened on this planet after Adam took the fruit--not before. That is a completely indefensible position IMHO. That guy was REALLY sucked in....he seems to have believed, hook line an...

Does anyone have a copy of the old Mormon Doctrine (the first edition),...and can you comment on some of the changes made when Bruce got it wrong?

Re: Temple changes

I have heard rumor from a bishopric acquaintance that in the new version only the witness couple receive the tokens. I wonder if anything changes at the veil. That makes sense. The parts where there is a high risk of transmission would be with the tokens, the prayer circle and at the veil. I wonder...

Re: New Mormon Stories/RFM interview with Egyptologist Robert Ritner

The shifts in church doctrine make me wonder how easily people, Including myself in this, can be swayed by authority and charisma. After listening to this podcast (which was FANTASTIC bye-the-way), I have wondered about JS and the early brethren. Those men were dangerous people, for several reasons:...

But I could never understand how the din0saurs, which must have been alive when Adam was, .... well, how did Noah fit those big creatures,...2 by 2, in his little ark? It made no sense to me at all. It's all been answered by this documentary about the creation museum's ark replica (spoiler: the din...

Re: Doctrinal Dominos

Since the church is true and God would never let someone be born gay (see BKP), then why has my friend prayed, fasted, begged, pleaded, and even submitted himself to church sanctioned electrical shock therapy to find himself still gay? Why does he have no memory,...not a single one,...of ever being ...

Re: Doctrinal Dominos

Race and Priesthood.

The LDS church taught that children who died before the age of 8 were automatically saved.

What would the case be if a black child died before the age of 8?

Re: Doctrinal Dominos

2. Death existed before the fall First domino in my chain. I remember listening to BRM who was "THE MAN" back in the day. When he spoke, the "thinking had been done." But I could never understand how the din0saurs, which must have been alive when Adam was, .... well, how did Noah fit those big crea...

Re: Missionary Shirt Change?

In my mission, the white-shirt/tie and name tag was like wearing a target on your back. I remember one of the most incessant and difficult things of my mission was the inability to "unwind". Why?....because in my mission, we were required to wear our whites whenever we left the flat,...including on ...

Missionary Shirt Change?

Just got a ping from KSL that the LDS church will allow different shift color. "On Friday, the church announced in a news release that Area Presidencies will have the ability to adjust missionary attire in specific locations to improve and continue 'missionary dignity, safety, effectiveness, approac...

Re: So yeh?....what's going on?

Right about now I need something to entertain me. Even the church is failing at that!

It used to be fun to speculate and revel in the predictions/changes of the church. Now they are just boring.

My GAWD,...how did I ever stand listening to decades or LDS conference!

I can't even find much on Google for news coming from the Church.

Re: COVID-19 -- game in play

Its interesting that they are reluctant to test in Utah. I have a family member who has all the symptoms,...but is younger so is being told to stay home; she will not be tested, by the direction of the TEST people. I think the numbers are very under-reported at this point. She may have it...its a re...

Re: Preppers (Cytokine Storm)...

Got some unconfirmed info. A prepper friend of mine has a friend in FEMA who went down to Central America sometime ago. The word out in the community, through that person, is that the CDC is underreporting things. Something called "Cytokine Storm" is showing up with this virus, and its not just goin...
