:D I love the comparisons. I had to watch it a couple of times to make sure I caught them all.

Re: Grooming minds

Thanks for sharing the video. It's scary how close this hits home for me. Not wanting to indoctrinate my children was a huge catalyst to my family finally taking the steps to leaving the church.

Re: SM Talk....

After all - those words are the closest thing to hearing from God, right? Clinging to the words of a bunch of old men who are out of touch with the real world is so inspiring. This reminds me of when I was on my mission. We were told to recite the 6 discussions word for word, because who were we to...

Re: Konfession Time!

I have been scared to sin my whole life. I think my list of thinks to konfess is pretty short for most of my life. -I started masturbating when I was like 7. I had no idea what it was. I stopped when I was like 10 when I learned what it was. I was mortified. I held that guilt in until a cried to my ...

Science proves it's true

I went to an open house event at our local mosque this last weekend. One of the women was explaining why they wear hijabs or niqabs. She explained that they do not know why God commands it, but they are only want to be obedient to him. She explained that no one is forced to wear them, but it is an o...

Thanks for sharing! I like the bullet point approach (even if there weren't actual bullet points) you used. Very easy to read. Being called as a local apostate is a great calling, and I wish more people would be called to it in my area.

Re: Do you drink coffee?

One of my Arabic students gave me arabic coffee. I had never drunk coffee before. In fact, even a taste of coffee ice cream makes me gag. However, I kinda enjoyed the arabic coffee. It seemed more liked tea, and it gave me a nice burst of energy.

My short intro

I posted an introduction like a week before the the old NOM went down. I don't post much, but I love the humor and the openness I see here. Anyway, here's a little introduction about how I got here. I was BIC, served a mission, married in the temple. I was never really a questioner, because the chur...

Re: My Story - I Need This Community

Thanks for the update Shawn. I always read your posts on Staylds. So, what’s the best and easiest way to put people under your religion’s thumb? Perhaps the answer is to teach the people that the most important thing for their salvation is to first BELIEVE. And they must fervently believe and even a...
