Re: Is conference vacation weekend?

This reminds me of when I lived in the MorCor. We did all of our grocery shopping and errands (that we could) on Sundays. It was a ghost town. Saturdays were nightmares to go anywhere.

Re: Costco selling garment look-alikes

There's a Jockey outlet store near me and they've sold these there for quite a while. I am also very thick thighed (yay genetics) and find these pretty comfy under skirts in gross humid and hot weather.

Re: Took a Calling & Regret Decision...What Next?

Thank you all for the great advice. I decided to just go ahead and roll with the decision to take the calling. So far it's worked out okay but the group of women in the presidency drive me bonkers. There's no direction and very little communication. I had to approach the president to ask for a handb...

Re: Took a Calling & Regret Decision...What Next?

You can customize your lessons. It's rare that anyone will call you out on it. I did that for years. The big thing, I think, is bringing your kids in on how you feel about the church. There's an impulse to hide it from them, I've felt it myself, but I got to the point where I said to myself, "Look....

We've been inactive for a few years and that spans into 3 states and wards. Husband and I are both done but kids would l...

Re: What mission did you serve in

Knoxville and Nashville Tennessee for me. The mission split and i ended up on the Knoxville side. Me too, but I came later after the split and was in Nashville. Good times very religiously educational. I came across The Church of Christ (Disciples of Christ) folks often. They hated it when we broug...

Re: Field report: Garments in the wild

I would have told her. Those things are so hard to conceal and slippery. It's like food in somebody's teeth - not that big of a deal to discreetly let her know in a kind way. While it is probably odd looking to them, it's kind of "mean girl" behavior to talk about it and not inform her (woman-to-wom...
