Is the church headed for a schism ?
I everyone it's been a while. I'm hearing a lot of buzz lately about the church allowing Trans gender baptisms and gay couples not being exed taking the sacrament etc just not being able to go to the temple. Wow what a shift and at warp speed (for the tscc usually moves at a snails pace). I think we...

Re: New Prophet/President of CoC
They pay 10% but it's like a normal mainstream Christian church you give what you can happily no tithing settlement checking up on you etc etc.
MLK
I thought it being Mlk day maybe we should reflect on how the church didn't like him and called him a communist etc etc. I don't have any qoutes or articles about this so I am hoping others can jump in and help on this important subject. I am 63 so I barely remember any Mlk speeches. Thanks

Re: Replacing the New Order Mormon
This board is most certainly different than Nom 1.0 and we are not the angry exmormon crowd on reddit. We have changed and I am thankful for more members being more nuanced. I believe the future of the church is its going to continue drifting to a centrist position closer to main stream christianity...

Re: Belief is easy, doubt is hard.
Great post. Just makes my case all the better when Nelson called all us Nomies "Lazy learners" I was pissed about that back then as I am today because as many of us during our faith crisis I studied my ass off trying to find a way to make it true !!! Yes it's much much much easier to just believe th...

He has had kind of a tougher life than the rest of the 15 . His father died when he was 19 and a couple other interesting facts that I am unabl...

Hagoth you make a lot of sense . Yes it is all made up and I knew that already but to see you post that helps me reaffirm that idea. Funny what someone else writes just makes it make more sense. I love the fact that Russell M. Nelson is not worthy to attend the temple either because of his massive f...

No never believe them I have seen to many times how they lie !! I am also a big fan of mormon stories with John Dehlin so that probably doesn't help. They have lied for 200 years now so why should anybody believe them !!
