NOM

DHO was put in the high office in Oct. 2025. The lawsuit against Dehlin was officially filed on April 17, 2026, a good 6 month after he took office. Assuming he knows about it, he probably thought he could use the church's influence to try to finally intimidate one of their loudest critics into ...

Nevermind. Got it. Talking about baptism (Took 5 or 10 minutes just to get to this edit, because of the site being so slow for me. Ugh!)

Last I heard - after Russell died and Dallin took over, the lawsuit was dropped. I'm thinking Dallin, having been an attorney and a judge, knew it was a stupid lawsuit without a leg to stand on. ("Mormon" is anathema and we don't use it. Wait. Someone we don't like (or feel threatened by) is using ...

I think there will be several funerals in the near future. Oaks seems very frail. About as frail as Nelson at the end of his life. Eyering has aged quite a bit lately. Maybe Uchtdorf will make it to the top soon. I wonder, if Uchtdorf makes it, how long he will last. I don't want to think that ...

I would have participated more but at the time this site was taking several minutes just to load the page and would often time out. Any time I wanted to post it was weighing whether or not to wait on the site to load the reply page and crossing my fingers that I wouldn't get a timeout on the submit ...

Not seriously, but what are the chances the LDSinc. is doing some sort of DOS/DDOS or something else to make the site annoying to use to drive away users? Considering what they are dumping on Mormon Stories, I would not be surprised. To tell you the truth, this thought occurred to me, too. Maybe ...

I usually only show up during conference time to read those posts (and see if anything interesting has happened) and it is always very slow. Ironically, when I clicked on this thread to read it, it literally took 2 or 3 times longer to load than the other threads I looked at today (though the ...

Thank you MoPag - and the others who tell us what was said. I forgot it was GenConf until today - and it took me until noon to get on here to read the Nom Conference threads. I appreciate the comments, especially if something unusual was said (I know it's rare, but it's possible) - or something ...

You would think that individuals who claim to be inspired and lead a multi-billion dollar corporation should be able to do math. If you have 1 million people that want to attend the temple this year and 10 temples then there will be approximately 100,000 visits per temple. If you have 1 million ...

Christofferson is doing sustaining of the Q15. I guess if they keep switching the session they are doing it in the can out-smart the people who come to audibly oppose  And he's giving the "apostles are cool" talk. which is turning out to be quite bring. He does have nice hair tho ...

You make me want to watch at least a bit of Eyring's talk just to look at his health.

Really awesome update. I'm glad to hear it.

I'm less active in the NOM ward, too, but I check in once in a great while to see how y'all are doing. (My browser is having a super-slow loading time, but only with NOM, so I might not check out any threads other than the conference ones.)

NOM is incredibly slow for me today, but I look forward to hearing any reports on the topics, as well as any interesting things that might happen this weekend.

They are about to start the solemn assembly...

Dang it! I wanted to vote opposed, but I missed it.

MoPag wrote: ↑Sun Oct 05, 2025 2:43 pm Does he want us to live off the grid? What the hell?

Will you please expound on that?

MoPag wrote: ↑Sun Oct 05, 2025 1:40 pm I think he's given GC talks before. Maybe he'll get a spot in the Q12?

If he's actually related to Jeff Holland, I would count on it.

Isn't MoPag like our bishop and blessing-giver? Sans the judge bit.

MoPag wrote: ↑Sun Oct 05, 2025 9:36 am He's talking about service missionaries.

That's interesting. I suppose he was pushing for more of them?
