This culture is pretty brutal
A kid that used to be in our ward came home from his mission early. He's home close to 4 months early. He's the only boy in the family and was called to the same mission that his dad served in. The family has been beyond proud of him. Because he is the only son and none of the girls went on missions ...
Re: I Worry
Thanks for all the support and some of you know how much I like a good Dick pic!
Re: I Worry
I've actually given him a few clues along the way. He knows that I question things and that I'm not afraid to call out BS even with leadership. I think he sees me as open minded, socially liberal and a little lax with my religion. He's a lot this way too. I hope that's enough for now.
Re: I Worry
I posted this in the Nelson's Pants post, but it goes better here

I Worry
I worry about the fallout if my son ever finds out about my disaffection. He's my youngest and he's about to leave for his mission. After the temple, he started asking me questions that made me think he's got a few doubts. He's always been a little bit of a skeptic with things that don't add up and ...

Is it just me or are Returned missionaries much more intense?
My son recently returned from his mission. I've been a little worried about him because he seems to be so desperate to keep up the mission level of churchiness. He gets up every day and generally studies about two hours in the BOM. Fast Sunday is interesting because he won't break his fast until ...

Re: Have you ever cause a FC for someone else?
I was close with a member family in Brazil when I was on my mission. They were recent converts at the time and I remembered that their mother had real concerns about Joseph Smith right after she went through the temple for the first time and was really disgusted by polygamy. During my recent faith ...

I was on the original board as "shockeddude". I joined here after Thayne ignored all of the begging that everyone did to capture the old content. That was a sad loss for me because it was a sort of journal of my life during a very tough time. The old board contained my feelings at the time that my ...
