Re: Resume fun

Is the job he is applying for being a bishop? Or is this a younger candidate that has little to no work experience? I consider the later unlikely if they were in a bishopric, that usually entails some life experience. If both answers are 'no', then, no it is not appropriate for a resume. If it does...

Re: Seer Stone Video

I’m presuming President Nelson has the keys to operate a seer stone, but with all the other keys he has it might be hard to find the right one. It doesn't help that he lot his keys and has been praying for god to help him find them but god is soo backlogged on finding key requests that he has yet t...

Re: Pres Nelson's BYU Speech Today

The fourth truth is about how God inspired the policy in the first place, but after President Nelson saw all the pain it was causing, he went back to God and pleaded with him to change it and God allowed him to do so. So RMN is now our intercessor before god in our behalf? How Catholic of him. Shou...

Re: Pres Nelson's BYU Speech Today

It's just like Consiglieri eloquently described, but here it is if you really want to listen. I'm sure there are arguments happening on BYU campus right now as students and teachers try to justify the status quo to the careful skeptics among them. I will certainly give credit to Russell Nelson for ...

Re: Pres Nelson's BYU Speech Today

Thanks for the summary. So the takeaway is that god is a changeable god? Doesn't the BOM say that in that case, god ceases to be god? To me, this comes across as something out of The Office. Bumbling, idiot manager makes a stupid business, when it is clear that it is costing the company money, they ...

Re: Magic

Never talk about when you plan on attending the temple, Satan can hear you and will stifle your plans. It seems like people said this all the time when I was an active member, but I never had a problem like that. I could make plans. I could make them known. And it was totally up to me whether I wen...

Re: Holy Cow!!! Devastating TV ad

Has this ad pushed Kirton McConkie and the LDS Covert Operations Department into overdrive trying to dig up dirt on this law firm? Considering that Kosnoff has gone up against the Catholic church multiple times and won, and LDS Inc. multiple times and won, K&M is certainly has a file already and ar...

Re: New firearms policy...stirring the pot

This actually isn't new. It's been in the CHI for a long time. They just re-emphasize it once in a while. However, I can see the hyprocriscy. If you want to stir the pot, then go for it. I'm curious their logic with their guards. Do they consider them part of BYUPD, therefore an on-duty member of la...

Garments being a protection. Like the interview with the guy who said they protected him from a fire in a place crash.
Tithing as "Fire Insurance" and somehow magically make your finances better.

Re: Holy Cow!!! Devastating TV ad

I'm pretty sure it's Tom Kosnoff. He did a podcast with Gina Colvin and runs the Abused in Scouting and Abused in Mormonism websites. Assuming what I found is what the OP saw, then yes, you are correct. It is Tim Kosnoff who is spearheading this. He was involved in the Martinsburg, WV case, so this...

Re: Holy Cow!!! Devastating TV ad

Palerider, is this the commercial you saw? https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=1&v=PEnp6o4S974 Here is what looks like a law firm prepping either a mass assault of litigation cases or a class action suit. https://abusedinmormonism.com/ We know that the TSCC has gone through numerous lawsuits...

DW came across a site on Etsy where they make ex-mo related shirts and magnets, and other stuff. https://www.etsy.com/shop/Apostitch?ref=shop_sugg DW just bought a magnet: " I gave up salvation for the coffee. " Other goods ones: "As for me in my house, we will serve tacos." "Sending Tots & Pears" "...

Re: If the Church went on trial. . . . ?

I would probably be the juror guy that the prosecution would love to have on the jury (analytical engineer) but the defense would would want to getrid of as fast as possible because I'm pretty immune to emotional and guilt based arguments. Pretty sure I would be the guy sitting at home watching the ...

Re: Apostolic Blessings

Likely it was GA's looking at the Great and Abominable Church (aka Roman Catholic) and got jealous of Papal Blessings. If they can do that, then why can't the leadership of "true church?"

Re: Who would you like to meet in the after life?

At least a short conversation with Pierre de Fermat, a mathematical genius from the 17th century. Fermat's Last Theorem stumped the math world for over 350 years. He said his proof was too large to fit in the margin of a book, but that proof was lost to history. The current proof of this Theorem is ...
