President Porter Porter...I don't want to out you Punjab, but would this happen to be a Stake in the south east corner of Weber County? Probably not, because that Porter has been in for a couple of years now. Anyway, there are some pretty zealous sky is falling last days folks in this area. Even th...

Re: You have been warned!!

Hah, water IS our most probable problem !!! What use is ANY storage when flooded under 18 feet of seawater anyway. Dutch people Always shrug a bit when `Muricans come and lecture us about foodstorage. America had Katrina, and many hurricanes as a warning and yet the USACOE didn´t do diddly squat to...

Re: You have been warned!!

Punjab, I've got 22,000 in my backyard if you run out. Just stop by with your 55 gallon blue barrel. Better yet, how about I just leave AZ again for a few years? I just interviewed for a couple of positions back in the Midwest. Plenty of water and less pressure to be at church on Sundays. Should be...

You have been warned!!

So, our newly called Stake President has been sending out LONG, epistle sounding letters to all the Stake members. They've all pretty much been related to upcoming Stake and Ward conferences, however, tonight he sent out the one below. Believes in the magic strongly, this one. Dear Brothers and Sist...

Where's the list now?

Forgive me if this has already been asked (probably many times), but where is that list that tells where everyone is located (state, city, stake, ward, etc.)? I used to be able to find the address on the old website, but not yet on this new one.

Re: Leah Remini documentary

My largely TBM wife watched the first Leah Remini episode last night on DVR and stopped me in the hallway of our home this morning with a look of disbelief and asked me how in the world the Scientology members could possibly think and do the things they do (shunning, disassociation, etc.) to those w...

Re: Tithing blessings and magical thinking

I'm sure that in the mind of a TBM, making interest money off of yet-to-be-turned-in tithing would definitely be seen as corrupt...lol. The funny thing is, she hasn't been to the temple in a LONG time, so why is she worried now about paying tithing? We have a couple of kids who have yet to be marrie...

Re: Tithing blessings and magical thinking

Tithing...something I had hoped I had put behind me...until today, when my semi-TBM wife asked me if I minded if she paid it on her earnings. It's only $3000, but it irks me nonetheless. I'm thinking about using the opportunity to express to her some more of my disassociated beliefs. I've resisted s...

Re: The Saga of Akhilleus

Achilles...はじめまして! I too spent two years over in Japan and in spite of my current beliefs I hold very fond memories of the people and the missionaries I served with. My companion in the MTC was an amazing and talented person...and he was gay. He obviously was not out at that time, but I believe he h...
