Re: Giving Machines = reverse ATM

Looks like the cost of two chickens cleared my bank. Online banking says I paid "Bonniville Communications". Bonneville Communications is a legitimate charity, no? No? Are you sure? Golly Gee Willikers, that's a surprise! (For those who don't have a functioning magic rock (or magic hat?) to transla...

Not really helpful, but it's at least not *bad* news.
Thanks for the update.

I am a little concerned that she does not want to see an attorney until after Christmas, so I may try to find a way to encourage her to at least have an initial meeting with an attorney ASAP so she at least has information. A lot of divorce lawyers try to avoid going to court during the holidays be...

FP = Bednar, the ghost of Boyd K Packer, and the ghost of Oaks. Bednar picks these ghosts of Mormon past as he believes they influence the church for the better and because he also believes he doesn't need real life breathing counselors who will stand before he does. He follows the lead of Nelson a...

"Emergency at work. I had to run in to take care of it. By the time I finished I was too late to make it to the ceremony, but I was a able to finish with enough time to get back to go to the reception." Yeah, I spent more than 40 years lying to myself, and everyone in my life to try and be a good m...

Re: I'm about to be officially "outed": NOM Crowd-Sourcing

I knew you would have a good retort RR! Unfortunately, this is one I can't miss due to any illness, unless I'm literally on my death-bed. I dunno, some ipecac syrup and a willingness to vomit on yourself just as you are about to leave the house (or better yet at the threshold to the temple) would p...

Amen to everything LithiumSunset and RubinHighlander said. (and hugs to you both) MM, you can go with her to talk to a lawyer. Be there for moral support and take notes for her because it's hard to remember it all. It would be a good idea for her to understand the laws as they apply to the state you...

Re: Support through the holidays

Congrats MoPag! That's good to hear (considering the circumstances)! Thanks RR! Your story is seared in my brain and I'm a constant life guard around the pool now. Even with the older kids. I got extremely mad at my SIL one day after getting home and seeing them sitting inside not paying attention ...

But I think I can do the same with Goldilocks and the Three Bears. If I assume that the tale of Goldilocks and the Three Bears is a true account of actual events, Its clear that Southerly received this by revelation. Its been suggested by detractors from Southerly's work that bears don't talk, eat ...

If you're consistently showing up, you're in the top 20% of primary teachers. There's very little trouble you could get into as long as you're not too heretical. This^^^ Like what are they going to do? Fire you? Cut your pay? Keep doing what you're doing Slavereeno. Parents will either compla...

Re: Support through the holidays

What a great idea to make this thread! Thanks Angel!! Ever since my DS passed away (July of 2017) the holidays are my own personal hell. I have to keep my sh*t together to try and give my DD a happy holiday season, but all I want to do is break down and cry and not get out of bed. I'm really lucky t...

Re: Stop telling the sick and dying to have faith, it isn't helping

Your poor aunt!! How horrible. I don't think very many people have the emotional tool kit to deal with other peoples' suffering. So "just have faith" becomes their cop out. It's really aggravating and f-ed up because it shifts blame onto the person who is already suffering. I think a better thing to...

It was sooooo F-ed up!!! That poor baby girl and her family.

We had dinner at my TBM parents house and got roped into watching it. Barf.

There was a pretty hilariously annoying suck up 70 talk though.

I'd never want to go back to believing. I'd love to go back and talk to 18yo me about not shelving your thoughts and ignoring your own interests because a corporation told her to. She probably would have ignored me, though. Same^^^ Oh I feel this! If I could warn 18yo me... But she was super TBM. :(

Re: Bill Reel--Disciplinary Court is Imminent

Amazing experience. Bill said everyone agreed that he was telling the truth and that they cannot deny that church leaders are lying. The SP expressed distress that he was forced to side with the church rather than the truth. Bill said he believes a few HC shelves broke. That is awesome! I'm glad yo...
