Re: Mountain Meadows, 163 years later.
A podcast on the event was posted today. Interview with the gentleman who discovered in 2014 the mass graves the army dug for the victims.

Re: What are you doing to protect your family against the virus?
How do you blame a country for a virus, just because it started there? China had thousands of their people die as well, and probably more than that, given their tendency towards censorship. It's a virus. They know no nationality or political creed. You can't blame them for the existence of the viru...

Re: Prayer Why Bother
I am admittedly irritable about the subject but continue to call on the kids for meal prayers and family prayer before bed to keep the wife happy and retain routine. I intentionally offer them myself frequently to speed up the process or pick the kids who are also equally willing to blow through vai...

Re: 6 months...
My dear, TBM wife has consistently wanted to do home church each week. For my own sanity, and for my children, I have presided over a weekly sacrament and brief "Come Follow Me" lesson every week since March. My goal has been to keep my semi-believing children engaged by pulling out something inter...

Re: How the Helmeth Hübener story was suppressed
My Dad who served in germany and likes german history had a different take on the Hubener story when I confronted him about it in my very angry phase. His very humanistic approach was that the saints simply adapted so they didn't go extinct. The herd did what they had to do to survive. They compartm...

Re: Guns
My son decided to buy an AK-47 as an investment since he heard they're selling like hotcakes. He's been scouring the websites that sell those kinds of weapons and says ALL guns have recently sold out everywhere. I find that very disturbing. It's simply fear based economics, the same shortages happe...

Re: Temples
At one point in history the church explored the idea of a ship based temple that could sale anywhere for the saints. Perhaps satan's control of the waters prevented that idea from coming to fruition. [emoji1]

Re: Temple changes
Exactly which God skill does God use to read the names on the rolls of the temple? Is this omnipresence? Is it Omni-knowledge? Does someone still print out on paper and cut the names into strips ow will they now just slide a thumb drive or iPad into the pouch? Which begs the question, if God can so...

Re: Temple changes
Looks like the church sent an email announcing that folks can submit names for the temple prayer rolls online. Before you get excited about submitting Boaty McBoatface, you have to log into your church account first. Exactly which God skill does God use to read the names on the rolls of the temple?...

Re: Temple changes
- Temple workers are with you (within 10 feet or so) the entire time, including in the celestial room, which makes it difficult to have private moments with your spouse or family. The other changes make sense, but this one is kind of weird. They are reducing social distancing in the celestial room ...

Found out the abuse was regular and the kids are heroic for getting their Dad arrested to allow them to escape this situation. The religion sure does provide cover for these cowardly assholes!

Old religion in a new bottle
I thought this article was an interesting treatise that the new wave of political cancel culture is a merely a return of puritan type religious thought. Driven by the fall of protestantism over the last several decades.

Re: Temple changes
I have heard rumor from a bishopric acquaintance that in the new version only the witness couple receive the tokens. I wonder if anything changes at the veil.
