Re: More LDS Therapy in the News
I think this may be hard to answer. I googled "sex addiction treatment." (Google will sell that search, I know.) Many reputable clinics will treat compulsive sexual behavior, but the definition is so far beyond what is called "sex addiction" in the church. Reputable clinics will deal with people who...

Re: Are you ready for Moroni Day?
Tomorrow, Sept 21, marks the 200th anniversary of the day a treasure guardian spirit stood in a pillar of light as bright as the sun in the bedroom of five boys in an Upper State New York Cabin and spoke in the booming voice of an angel for hours on end, but failed to wake four of them up. Many mem...

Mormon Fragility
I listened to one of the recent RFM podcasts here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vxEGz6FhYDQ . This podcast tells the tale of the hosts of the Mormonish podcast who were trying to attend a talk by Ronald Rasband at a Book of Mormon Central meeting, maybe a fundraiser. They were uninvited after a r...

The organization led a bizarre, blundering attempted rescue on the Haiti-Dominican Republic border based on intelligence sourced from a Utah psychic medium. Anyone listen to the Adam Steed Mormon stories episode 1809? He was one of the kids abused in scouting and later had his live destroyed by Jodi Hildibrandt. Elder Hillam helped to cover up the abuse. Jodi became a counselor on the LDS family services approved counselor list. Anyone who doesn’t thin...

Bingo! But the starship Nauvoo is just going to be used to destroy alien technology. We're not getting back to Kolob either. That was from one possible timeline. I suspect the Church will use Senior Missionaries to build the Starship Nauvoo and have it guarded by a legion of Stripling Warriors. The...

Re: Past Stance Against Christianity
I wish YouTube had a recording of the early temple film, wherein a (obviously catholic, great and abominable church representative) priest (with a bad perm hairdo) is hired ("I will pay you well") by Satan to preach to Adam and Eve. The early missionary lessons (at least up to the late 80's) also h...

I've seen a couple of previous people who have received this letter from KM. I loved hearing RMN's take on the legality of the letter. The level of chutzpah needed to claim authority to declare who you may and may not contact is unbelievable. Is there no penalty for a lawyer making demands that are ...

As long as Church Authorities realize that "return to Missouri" will never happen, there is no reason not to sell the land and make some wise investments in the Beijing Stock Market. The Starship Nauvoo taking the Corporation back to Kolob should be the main goal. Bingo! But the starship Nauvoo is ...

Could be worse. Dad, I want: 1. More annoying little brothers and sisters to torture with endless pranks. 2. Extra school assignments to use as paper airplanes for aerial warfare. 3. A permanent bedtime extension, so they can stay up past the adults. 4. A secret passageway in the house for their "t...

This was a podcast that I needed to hear. I'm a man, so the point of view is a little different. In any case, I'm also a people-pleaser. I need to get better at disappointing others and being ok with it. It was also painful to hear, because I know I am guilty of using my disappointment to manipulate...

Have they marked the location of the barn where the "dirty, nasty, filthy affair" with Fanny Alger was witnessed by Emma? Do they know the location where Joseph decided to start an illegal bank? Do they note how Joseph snuck out of town at night to avoid prosecution? Oh, the faith-promoting stories ...

I'd add that you realize that the captain does have some excellent bottled water, not the best but pretty good. He gets some caviar. His kids aren't doing any work around the boat. They just go around telling the rest of us how important their father is. They get the good food, too.
