Re: Prophets vs. Fortune Tellers

I had not thought about fortune tellers having a faith crisis. That is an interesting twist. It is enlightening, yet not surprising that health, love, work, and family are what draw people to psychics. One of my favorite podcasts is the Skeptic's Guide to the Universe. Their first show of the year ...

Re: Why would you want to help the needy ?

Oof. I'm so sorry. In my area, the food bank allows people to come semi regularly and this time of year at least, they generally have a lot to offer. There's some sort of online service you can have donated food shipped to you. I cannot reeval the name, I'll do some searching and see what I can find...

Any salamanders cross your path?
Nope, phew! Although I'd it does I might make a few bucks in real estate in 200 years?

Nothing else weird today, hopefully that's the end of it.

Re: Spinoff necromancy

I am pretty skeptical about such things. I'm not trying to convince you or anyone that they might be mistaken. But I will truly try to eliminate all other options before I go down that route. Good luck. Thanks. I am always open to the idea I'm mistaken. I've also had some very interesting and unexp...

Spinoff necromancy

Yesterday evening, I was sitting in Spouseman's truck chatting with him in my driveway. It was about 8pm, dark outside. I saw someone (thin man in a gray hoodie) walking down the street via spouseman's sideview mirror, and shifted my gaze to watch mine to see who it was. No one passed by my mirror. ...

Re: Thoughts on Mozart and Joseph Smith

I don't even think JS was gifted. Maybe a good memory but certainly a plagiarist. Plenty of people saw through his trope from day 1. Its embarrassing to me that my ancestors believed his rot and dragged me along into it.

Re: The Covenant Path

Yep but Im not so sure Genx and later falls for the idea we covenanted something we didn't. My mom and MIL are certain garments are a covenant. People my age and younger say its an instruction with some variability based on individual circumstances. Oaks et al are primo douchebags. What I find inter...

Re: Outward expression

What's messed up is that after ditching g's it took me about two years to fogure out how to dress myself. What do *I* like, feel comfortable, and look good in? I feel like I dress more "modestly" now vs right after stopping because I had to figure it out. I never did anything extreme, but by Mormon ...

Re: Grooming

I hear you. When my kids were little I wouldn’t let them sit by other people or go to the bathroom alone. The more sex offenders are in the news the more anxious I get about littles. My older child was victimized by a relative. I realize strange men at a football game are much less likely but I can...

Grooming

You guys. I am realizing how traumatized I am. I can't deal with people being nice to my children. I don't trust that people have benign or good motives anymore. Last night at a football game, my kiddo was next to an older man. He gave them candy, offered them a blanket. I think he was just being ni...

Re: What if....

My ancestors left Sweden when it was dire. Depression, famine, oppressive government. They went to the midwest and piled on with the LDS... and suffered, suffered, suffered. Would they have suffered less staying in Sweden? If I exist, I'd have a great country and I'd be, most likely, a secular human...

I just did myself in. I reported to spouseman that Oaks talk was getting criticized again on NOM for his attitude toward LGBT. So, spouseman had to turn it on to see how bad, now I have to listen.

Re: So God... Ya Wanna Come Out and Play?

So God… Wanna Come Out and Play? You remember reading in school about the discovery of penicillin? Me neither, but reading about the discoverer, Alexander Fleming was quite a delightful surprise. He was a very serious scientist, and very, very good at his scientific research and labors, and he was ...

Sativa, 10mg, starbust type chewies. No effect other than mildly sleepy, with or without alcohol. I do get a buzz from alcohol typically. No difference with pot products. No real impact from either CBD oil products or 420 edibles so far. Maybe Im immune? With rx meds, I usually respond quickly and ...
