Yeah too many couples working from home together will lead to “sexual distancing” and later increase the divorce rate.
I spoke to a friend who works in a family law practice and yes, the uptick is starting.

Re: Faith Journey level-up!

I think I have a higher tolerance for LDS meetings than most apostates. I will be watching GC this weekend mainly to know what ideas, policies, and expectations will be in play when dealing with the many, many believers in my life. I was happy with 2 hour church and the functional end of home teachi...

Re: God’s divine purpose for COVID-19

This is a good discussion because general conference was already scheduled for this weekend with 15 prophets, seers, and revelators for anyone who wanted to listen to them. Teen pregnancy may go down but domestic violence is up. I don't think we are going to get a baby boom out of this. There are pl...

This will also be a pivot point for the church to recognize declining numbers. I seriously wonder what percentage of members just won't feel like going back to church once they've been away from it for a while and realize life goes on without it. I'm sure it will be a small but real number. It will...

Re: What the church did right:

I am waiting to see how the church will react once we can all go back to our regularly schedule Sunday meetings. They will need some tact and diplomacy to convince all of the people who have enjoyed home church that there is something worth going back to in a regular ward meeting.

So, this is the "message of hope" that Nelson will produce at conference? It would certainly make this a historic conference.

My question to the group- Does God hide car keys, necklaces and glasses so that we will exercise our faith and pray to find them? I'm not sure.
Yes he does, just like Joseph Smith did.
Right. Just like how Joseph Smith exercised his faith and located the lost 116 pages of the Book of Mormon.

Re: WHY Isn't Jesus Revealing RIGHT NOW?

I fear that General Conference will now be more annoying than usual. The subtext will have to be a passive aggressive explanation for why healing blessings cannot cure COVID-19 and the Second Coming is close, but not yet. Follow the Prophet as if Millennium starts tomorrow, but have patience as if y...

Re: Any church-at-home experience to report?

If you looked at this man's blood under a microscope, you would see that each cell is actually a tiny Angel Moroni. Does the angel Moroni still have his trumpet? Out of the religious armistice between my wife and I, our Sunday meetings have been short. Opening song, prayer, sacrament, brief "Come F...

Re: Mormon Leaders Have the Entirely Wrong Emphasis

We eagerly await the guidance provided next weekend. I fear that it's gong to be "trust in the Lord in these trying times just like Joseph Smith did! There will probably one talk that effectively addresses the challenges of the day, but I doubt it will be from the First Presidency.

Alex Boye's "American Prophet" (An Urban Musical)

Alex Boye's American Prophet Alex Boye appears to be setting up a stage musical of the life of Joseph Smith and it's apparently inspired by the "Hamilton" musical. This is only seven minutes and it is largely "correlation safe". This is really just the teaser trailer for what Brother Boye is trying...

And, a list of many other things I'm probably not even aware of. It's almost as if the book were written by a 19th century white man. o_O Right. I say this both humorously and seriously: the whole book is a giant cultural appropriation. And I'm from a demographic that normally thinks that "cultural...

Pornhub is offering free service in Italy to help those trapped by the quarantine. Anyone paying for that service is doing it wrong to start with. Maybe it's just a failure of imagination, but I truly do not understand why anyone would pay for it. Why would anyone watch for more than 10 minutes in ...

Re: COVID-19 and General Conference

Will this make the "Sustaining" part of conference kind of weird? Or will they finally breathe a sigh of relief that no one will loudly vote "No" when attempting to sustain prophets, seers, and revelators? However, the announcement simply said that the public will not be invited. I expect that selec...
