How much of this was pushed by her ex husband?
You ask some good questions. I do want to chime in that she reports that her ex-husband has been very supportive of her and, I believe, will be a witness in her defense.

Re: Is Dallin Oaks the worst of the current leaders?

Tough question. I would say that oaks has given talks I liked. His last talk in GC was surprisingly helpful, in my opinion, acknowledging that we can believe different things politically and that we should follow concepts and law and not a particular person. I don't know if Bednar has ever given a t...

Re: Did Netasha Helfer-Parker get Exed?

This case really bothers me and I'm curious to hear the result. I'm also curious as to what would happen if Ms. Helfer refused to travel across two states--presumably on her own dime--to defend herself. Why in the hell can a stake pres from an area she resided in over two years ago have authority to...

Re: Another Lawsuit

I highly doubt the Q15 didn't know how big the fund is. The church, (that is leadership) watches their money like a hawk. Do they really expect us to believe they were asleep at the wheel? That is what the Tribune reported. Only six people knew, the Church President (CEO), the Church Presidi...

Re: Forced Turning Point

When I was a priest until I left on my mission, our bishop was a humble guy who insisted the young men not pass him the sacrament first. If there was ever a visiting stake leader, he wanted the deacons to be sure and pass to them first, but never to the bishop first. He wanted them to just offer the...

Re: Forced Turning Point

The question needs to be asked: Bishop G, did you specifically tell your bishop or SP that you were not a full tither or did you just finesse that particular question? I was under the impression that it was more of a finessed response to the temple rec tithing question, not an outright declaration. ...

Re: Church updates handbook.

The part of telling members to get vaccinated and not to commit affinity fraud through their numerous investment frauds and multi-level marketing pyramid schemes sounds good. Wish they would have added a line about giving back tithing monies that came to the Church directly through these fraudulent...

Re: The 2020 numbers

I also find it interesting that they have announce, what, 15+ odd temples in the last year, but only managed to complete 1. Okay, temples may take longer to build than a year, but the list of vaporware temples is growing longer and longer each year. I think this is a perfect example of Russell Nels...

Re: The 2020 numbers

I'm sure you've seen this: https://newsroom.churchofjesuschrist.org/article/april-2021-general-conference-statistical-report Based on these numbers, the average full time missionary baptized less than 2 and a half converts in the year. Each ward or branch grew an average of 4 converts for the year,...

Re: Forced Turning Point

I sustain you as well, Bishop G. You'll find out quickly about the people having marital problems, financial problems, ...

Re: NOMference Sunday afternoon SP 2021

I don't know whether to give him positive points for the optimism and corporate strategy of announcing 20 new temples, or negative points for spending millions on more fancy buildings local members will be expected to work in and clean for free.

Ponder and praise pioneers. The alliteration doesn't flow out of him very well, but he (or his speachwriter) is trying.

He had a wonderful chance to say to get vaccinated if eligible and he didn’t say it. -50. He is a doctor and should promote vaccination. I have good member neighbors who are refusing for no other reason than they believe the fear mongering. To his credit, he did publicize himself getting a vaccinat...

You know what to read, watch, and eat, and who to hang out with and date if you're doing right.
