Re: General NOMfrence!!! Spring 2019

I guess it has been a year since I joined NOM. I was delighted to finally find a place with like minded individuals. I found a lot of support and answers while visiting. However, today I have sadly discovered that I am not welcome here. Your hate filled rant towards straight, white men came straight...

Split post: straight white cis male

So now there is something wrong with me being a straight, white, cis (whatever in the hell this means) male? You seem just like the "inclusive" bigots your are railing against.. Nice 😒 Moderator note: I split this out of the GC post to its own new post. It’s an important discussion to have. Just not...

Re: THEY MUST APOLOGIZE!

I have no empathy for someone who is so weak that they allow these dinosaurs to determine their individual happiness. Iron Maiden makes me happy. Going to church does not. Therefore if Nelson comes out and tells me to destroy my Somewhere in Time album I will have to decide which has historically ma...

Re: THEY MUST APOLOGIZE!

I am an adult I knew their rules and chose not to follow them. An apology? Seriously? Yes, an apology. Absolutely. This is not about people like you or me needing an apology, Blashyrkh. It's lying to the people who trusted them most about this being a revelation. From God Almighty, for cryin' out l...

Re: THEY MUST APOLOGIZE!

Apologize? Goodness sakes. If you live a lifestyle, any lifestyle and someone comes out against is and you cower or bend to their opinion then you my friend are a weak individual. Even when I was an active member I did things that were against the teachings of the church. I had a decision to make. D...

Re: Packing Heat

Okay, that's just crazy. It's also a really unsafe way to carry a gun. If he's that insistent on packing heat in church, he needs to get a proper holster. Imagine if that gun has the safety off, and it falls out of his pants and discharges. That would certainly wake up all of the snoozers during Sa...

Re: Packing Heat

Why not? If the head honchos of the church can justify building their own tactical training facility with a dozen rifle and handgun lanes and "force on force" training area so that their own security can protect them then why shouldn't my family be afforded the same protection?

Re: The 3 Main Theories

I have often wondered exactly how much do the leaders of the church really believe in this whole scheme? I have a good friend who escaped the Warren Jeffs group. I asked him hom many of the men in the group stay because they actually believe vs. How many stay because they have a lot to lose/gain by ...

Re: LDS Churchs new tactical training facility

It is a good thing that Jacinda Ardern, New Zealand's prime minister, is no longer a member of the former Mormon Church since she would otherwise be pressured by Church authorities to not ban assault weapons in New Zealand. Assault and semi-automatic weapons are a part of the LDS pioneer heritage, ...

I would have thought that at his age when he wakes at night with "honey, it's happening again," he would be running to the bathroom to pee. Happens to me all of the time and I am less than half his age.

LDS Churchs new tactical training facility

I work for the Def. Dept. and just found out through a connection in Utah that the LDS church is going to build a state of the art security training facility in Salt Lake City. This place will have 12 rifle lanes and 12 handgun lanes. An area for "force-on-force" training and a bunch of other nonsen...

Blew up with DW "No more Tithing!"

Sorry but I need to vent. I just got the bill for my 17-year-old day in the ER after a D.O. Lets just say that it's a lot. Birth dad isn't interested in helping. So with this new bill we pretty mich drain our savings. I finally told my wife that we are no longer sending $600 a month to a multi-billi...

Life coach? Really? Unless someone is going to teach me how to retire at 42 or lay tile smoother then I would have no use for their "coaching." This is by far the scammiest scam I have ever heard of.

Re: Change.org Petition - Make TSCC Accountable

I want to sign this. But I can't shake the feeling of someone from TSCMC going through the list and finding the "active" members. I'm a nobody, and yet, I still feel... targeted. I had the same thought when I signed it. Honestly though, why let someone (bishop, SP) dictate your beliefs through fear...

Metal. 80s hair metal to black metal and every metal genre in between. Oh and Pink Floyd. I mean who doesn't recognize the genius minds that were Pink Floyd. If there is a heaven I am sure that David Gilmore playing "Marooned" is on a 24 hour loop.

Re: Rank and File vs Oaks

Please forgive me if my post is blunt. I mean no offense. Politically I am very, very right wing. I have never been a strong Mormon. In the past a lot of people have been afraid of LGBTQ people. We were never really exposed to them and held some pretty nonsensical beliefs. These are our friends, our...

Has anyone seen Varg Vikernes lately? Ok nobody will understand the joke. Sorry.
Someone answering the description of Count Grishnackh was seen in the vicinity.

Re: The changing face of LDS INC under RMN...why the rush?

My TBM Mother assured me that all these changes are because Jesus is coming, like really soon guys. That was the consensus during ftm at church two weeks ago. The bishop started crying about how the wheat and tares are being separated now. My lovely wife just looked at me and rolled her eyes. She i...

Re: Missionary name badges

Anyone remember the old days of Stake Missionaries? They would wear their badges to all meetings, I even had a neighbor who wore his all over town as well. I remember walking in on a Stake Missionary meeting as a kid, and looking around at the weirdness of the badges and the meeting. Slowly backing...
