Re: Handling severe illness as a NOM

As an atheist, I’m comforted by the knowledge that whatever harm comes my way is not judgment or punishment from “God,” sent to refine a rebellious soul. Back to work/school

Back to school/back to work Monday morning ramblings. May we appreciate those institutions/organizations/communities which do more good for us all.

Re: Spiritual abuse

If there's no other church - find a different funday sunday activity? Kayaking, dirt bikes, hiking, doughnuts, movies, go carts, swimming, spa - claim every other funday. Hugs!

Re: Spiritual abuse

Perhaps every other Sunday - bring kids to a different church? Find a different denomination, something their friends attend if possible with an amazing youth program that is better than your local ward's :)

Re: If I was the PR Director of the Church…

How about PR centered on charity - sending relief to GAZA, new service opportunities - opening a hospital (instead of a temple) - opening homeless shelters - daycare in church buildings during the day so women can work .... oh wait, those are things only other Christians do, not things the Mormons ...

Re: Active shooter at church in Michigan

Was there a conference talk on mormon kids who grow up to be... troubled? What is the behavior blamed on?

Why was no one at church warned? I thought the Holy Spirit protects - everyone should have gotten a funny feeling, realized what was happening, and evacuated early?

I have family members less than an hour away, and they are in shock. But a local journalist has a story about how a canvassing city councillor candidate ran into this guy on the campaign trail. I think it's ok to post this here but if it's a problem let me know: https://davebondy.substack.com/p ...
