What does the H. stand for?
Oh my gods there's a wiki entry for this!

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jesus_H._Christ
Looks as though someone needs to update the all-knowing wiki with the JHCOB initialism.

Re: Who has seen the new Magic Rock™ video?

I was being sarcastic of course... Ah, good... I was pretty sure that YOU of all people would know that history, but... Just in case. Of couse there was no urim and Thummim to begin with - the phrase was never used until I believe 1837, and then was used for anything that Joseph 'used' to translate...

Re: Who has seen the new Magic Rock™ video?

Would have been nice to include the anachronism of "spectacles" for the U&T. Yeah, and they still lie about how the so-called pre-historic Nephite spectacles were used to translate the BoM. They like to say he used both, and who are you to say otherwise? As dogbite mentions, It's not me who says ot...

Re: What if? New HBO Show on Mormonism's Beginnings

It's hard to control that story once non-believers start to interpret it. The Book of Mormon Musical was crazy enough, but a secular dramatization of Nauvoo is a brand new can of worms to open. Here's where I always have to insert my (unwanted) skepticism into the " This Show about MORmONism would ...

Re: Went to Church

Went to church after some months absence. Just so you know nothing has changed. Still boring as hell. Priesthood was still a debate of fictional characters treated as actual people. Suppose you accidentally attended a "Lord of the Rings" discussion group going over the finer points of Ar-Pharazon's...

Who has seen the new Magic Rock™ video?

189 years after the foundation of LD$-Inc. they have finally published a visualization of how the Book of Mormon was actually "translated." Did Joseph Smith Use A Seer Stone? | Now You Know I mean... The video is still filled with redirection, lies and gaslighting, but they did finally visualize a t...

Re: The Great Rib Debate

I think it's kind of sad that people are spending time and personal/emotional energy trying to make these stories literal. Maybe we should debate the actual location of the Bat Cave or Fortress of Solitude. Agreed. If we're going to debate about fiction, there are much better/more interesting books...

Did Nephi wax his chest? I’m pretty sure most Arabs have a lot of chest hair.
And... Why is "Nephi" the only half-naked person in the "artwork?" Is he getting ready for an MMA bout with Laman or Lemuel? Or is it just a Professional Wresting "show?"

I wonder if putting his name on the rolls of the temple with a note for him to die anytime now would help.
It would probably help about as much as fake Masons chanting about my name to turn me into a good MORmON has worked. (Hint: It hasn't worked.)

I've only seen meme's of his usual hate-speech against anyone who doesn't fit his straight, hetero, cis mold... But there's also other harmful mental health stuff in it too. How is Dan even relevant in 2019?
Um... Maybe the same way a religion created by a predator/con-man with a magic rock is still relevant in 2019?

(Or was it really the hat that was magic?)

Well. Tapir-Dan may be correct that there was no "scandal" or "suppression." (By his own, crazy definition of the words scandal ans suppression.) I only have one question for Mr. Tapir though: How many times were the multiple versions of the first vision mentioned in correlated mormon publications? ...

Re: I think I want to be cremated...

One (funny) reason I heard for all of this craziness is that "We don't want to make Elohim's job any harder come resurrection time!" I never really thought about it when I was in, and now, of course, that sounds quite silly. I'm definitely on the side of wanting to be cremated now. And skip the bake...

Does anyone know if there are any other Coffee shops that are in close proximity to the Only True And Living Campus™?

Re: New Wendy Nelson video is giving me a serious case of the heebie jeebies

My "door is always open" any time Aunt Wendy wants to have a chat and convince me she's not a gold-digger. Of course, I'm sure that her reasons are "too sacred to talk about" (made up lies.) Not that anyone at her level would ever talk to a low-life like me. They're all "too sacred" to actually inte...

Re: New Wendy Nelson video is giving me a serious case of the heebie jeebies

I just don't get the special level of vitriol that seems to be reserved for this woman in particular. Available evidence show that Wendy is a "MORmON" gold-digger. And then LD$-Inc. comes out with a cute little video to try and "prove" that she's not a gold-digger? No, I don't "know" anything about...
