Re: Daughter on records of church never baptized
Supposedly church policy is that if a child is blessed, but not baptized, they will be dropped from membership records when they turn 18. No idea of that is actually enforced or not. Nope, I have a non-baptized 18-year-old. While I can't see "details" of their record now because they're 18, I can s...

Re: Daughter on records of church never baptized
My daughter is an adult now. We never baptized her but did bless her as an infant. Church bothered her/us when she turned 9 to get that easy baptism number, but otherwise I have never heard from them about her. I am still a member on record. I saw the relief society newsletter, and it had her birth...

Re: What's the story with Tim Ballard?
New update on how an LDS psychic helped channel Moroni to locate the children for Tim Ballard. From Radio Free Mormon: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eSZT1VMcyCk “Eenie Meanie Chili Beanie, Moroni is about to speak”. Wait... Was the psychic channeling MORONi , or Nephi?!?!? Is the psychic just as ...

Re: What's the story with Tim Ballard?
Operation Underground Railroad? Sound of Freedom? (Movie) He's the guy who pretends to rescue trafficked children from awful situations - but he turns those "rescues" into reality TV so MORmONs will give him money. Why is LD$-Inc. throwing him under the bus? Dunno. Maybe it's a ploy to re-direct att...

Re: Not renewing my temple recommend
To make it into an opportunity for connection rather than fomenting negative feelings on both sides, we're planning to go get ice cream after. Make sure to order coffee flavored ice cream. One thing I am torn on is whether I should don the Mormon costume (shirt, tie, and slacks) to go with her. At ...

Re: What did you learn in the temple today, honey?
... If patrons thought it was just another story they might dismiss a lot of it as being a plot hole and move on without giving it a second thought. It can be the difference between: They brought back Palpatine? That's so stupid. vs. They brought back Palpatine? This means something. This is import...

Re: What did you learn in the temple today, honey?
... I wonder whether that policy has changed. Can people get their endowment simply because they want to or is it still a process where you can only get the endowment because you're doing something else that requires it (mission/marriage)? ... At some point that "policy" was changed. I knew someone...

Re: Lying
Thought? Suggestions? You could always introduce your wife to Carefully Worded Denials™. I mean, if that sort of lying is OK for Joseph Smith, and you follow Joe's example, everything will be fine, eh? DISCLAIMER: The above sarcastic sentence is NOT good relationship advice. In fact it is REALLY BA...
