Re: Illegitimate First Presidency--RFM

See Rock Waterman's thoughts on the new FP here on his Pure Mormonism blog. Note: he is looking at this from a Snufferite POV, but he gives a lot of great references.

Re: Saving the One (if its a man)

Move over here!! I know 2 BP's where the DW is only nominally active or supportive Same with the SP we have now, his DW is called "the angry dragon" for a reason.... Only attends because she has to, and in dresses/skirts/blouses which leave nothing to the imagination. Here a link to the Ins...

Re: Declining convert baptisms

When the numbers for church finance became embarrassing, they stopped reporting them. Why wouldn't they stop reporting membership statistics when they were not faith promoting?

Read this at Pure Mormonism before you talk to your wife. If will give you historical ammunition on why paying on surplus has merit.

Re: Justified Secrecy for Our Ward Split?

It is the same then the Exec Sec (ward or Stake) calls you and says Pres Smith wants to meet with you. You ask why and they say they don't know. B.S! They know exactly what they meeting is about. When I was bishop, I told the Exec Sec to tell them that the Bishop was thinking about a new calling for...

I think we are being trolled here. Isaac may be a really intelligent and articulate 15 year old, but this seems to have been written by somebody much older.

Wait... You had a black bishop!?!?!?!

I mean, there is absolutely nothing wrong with that, and in fact it's kind of cool! That just totally surprises me.
Two weeks ago we had a black bishop called. He is divorced and married to a white woman. What is this world coming to! :D

Re: TSM Guest Appearance

Oh wow! And Hales is in the Hospital too. The article said he had been there for a few days. I don't necessarily know him, but Hales always seemed like one of the good guys along with Wirthlin. I wish him well. Oh totally. He seems super calm and nice. And maybe he is secretly sick of the rest of t...

Re: No, the Prophet said that

Of course Woodruff said this just as everyone was thinking he had led the church astray by stopping polygamy. The timing seems a little suspect to me... This!!!! The two previous prophets before him had said over the pulpit that you cannot reach exaltation without practicing the New and Everlasting...

Re: High priest lesson today

Wow! All of them said that virtue/virginity cannot be taken by force? They're basically saying they don't believe there's such a thing as rape. You are missing the point. Virtue does NOT equal virginity. Elizabeth Smart was no less virtuous after her kidnaping than before. Moroni/JS conflat...

Re: High priest lesson today

We had this same lesson today in HPG. I have found that in order to make church tolerable, it takes pre-planning. I knew this lesson was coming up and was prepared. So in the middle of class I asked "Is it possible to have your virtue taken away by force?" It was the consensus of the class that no, ...
