Re: What’s the difference...

Between blessing of a child (or putting the name on the record of the church) vs baptism in the eyes of the church? I know that once a person has been baptized they are a member, but how does that differ from just being on the records? My sister’s kids haven’t been baptized, but were put on the rec...

Re: Initiatories changes

It's a shame you can't get a full naked rubbing in whiskey anymore. LOL! Well hell, if they bring that one back....no, not really, especially if its just some old guy. And whiskey is better for the belly, not for the body! That would really sting the pink parts. Also, I can buy a crap ton of whiske...

Wednesday was a great day to work from home along the Wasatch Front, from Happy Valley to O-Town. Red and orange colors on this map for I-15 and Legacy to 215 are reflective of the lack of skills the average Utah driver has: Average Utah driver? I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say pretty much e...

Re: Snow Day

14 inches in Sandy yesterday, with two more last night. I just noticed this new category. :o How long has it been up? PS Thank goodness the kids gave us a snowblower this Christmas. :) So who here is old enough to remember the 70's and 80's and how much snow the northern Utah valleys would get on a...

Re: Sci-Fi of Choice

I have been working through the StarTrek TNG series on Netflix. (Usually in the background while doing something else) Star Trek takes on a myriad of social issues that I think I glossed over as um you know (a believer) that I am kind of fascinated with now. For example watching S5:E17 "The Outcast...

Re: Initiatories changes

The only changes I recall over my 40 yrs is less touchy near the pink parts and within the last decade or so, not having to get completely naked under the shield with the switching of new pair of temp undies. It would be interesting to have a list of exact dates and changes. I did see this on XmoRed...

Re: Cocaine Mummies

Apparently, a German scientist tested some ancient (3000BC) mummies for drugs, and found Cocaine and Nicotine, two substances from New World plants found in old world mummies. So they are trying to use the Cocaine Mummies as BOM evidence? Wow, that's way more than a stretch. Shove the DNA studies b...

Re: 2nd Anointing Lost and Found

https://onewhoiswatching.files.wordpress.com/2014/09/ehat-succession.pdf Good old BYU studies. I think a beautiful ceremony for the temple for new couples would be to wash each other's feet. At least that would be more akin to Jesus instead of all that other Masonry BS. Instead it had to relegated ...

Re: Update on my "Slow Fade"

Her response was: “don’t you worry that will be the end of us?” She was referring to our relationship, our marriage, as though in her mind if I leave it automatically assumes we split. That hurt, along with other discussions I’ve had with her. I am continuing to feel as though our marriage is only ...

If you were to join a polygamist group which group would it be?
The Tom Hanks Big Love group where I could work at Home Depot and have one or two hotties at home...but hopefully less drama.

Re: Dallin Oaks: “I suggest that research is not the answer"

Looks like the COB has finally realized that they have a problem, so in typical Mormon methodology, they are throwing everything at it. But also in pure Mormon fashion, they go about it in the complete wrong way and are many y ears too late to be effective. I wonder if this is related to RMN taking...

Maybe Joseph "spilled his seed on the ground" like Onan. Exodus 38:9.

I'm seriously going with this one. JS had to keep most of those relationships under wraps, so unwanted pregnancies would just create a firestorm for him.

Noice!

We should do a whole new NOMish allegory for the olive tree and the vineyard. 2nd Nephi could stand to gain some entertainment value.
