Re: The Reason Miracles are Dead in the LDS Church

[Miracles are only seeable to the faithful and provable to no one else. Christ even raised people from the dead yet the jews crucified him. Its their nature to be exclusively the providence of the faithful Trying not to cheap shot this but as a huge Bigfoot fan...only believers believe--everyone el...

Re: The Reason Miracles are Dead in the LDS Church

In an age of instant information/serious skepticism you, in a sense, have to put up or shut up. The poor mother's faith is laudable but can you functionally demand a miracle?

The Reason Miracles are Dead in the LDS Church

The problem with Miracles is in an information age it's impossible to have them and not "PROVE IT".

It's what you wear in your heart that really matters.

Unfortunately most LDS wear fear.

Re: On Tea

I would offer that leadership roulette extends to the top, hence the current interpretation of the WoW. "Cino" drinks are the current "caffeine" application. Herbs could mean Mary Jane. Hot chocolate isn't a "hot drink". Mild drinks are not beer (which in Brent World are the only "mild" ones). The p...

Re: Whistle Blower Files IRS Complaint

Let's mangle an old saying: 1 million dollars is a lot of money...100 billion is a statistic. When dealing with members I would only suggest they cannot comprehend 100 billion dollars. Better to ask them to read Mormon Chapter 8 with you. In particular: 35 Behold, I speak unto you as if ye were pres...

The Church's miracle problem:

The Internet allows for verification.

There can be no modern miracles because you have to PROVE it.

Re: Virtue Signalling?

A close family member has mentioned how much she hates the smell of coffee. She is confident she would hate it even if it were decriminalized from the WoW. I hate the smell. Some of us just do. I had a job where my cube was just outside the office kitchen door. The coffee smells about killed me, pa...

Virtue Signalling?

Virtue Signalling: the action or practice of publicly expressing opinions or sentiments intended to demonstrate one's good character or the moral correctness of one's position on a particular issue. I find LDS virtue signaling to be particularly interesting. “I hate Porn” is common as well as expres...

Does this mean the temple ceremony is part of the necronomicon?
And, while lowering your hands, repeating aloud the words "Ia ia Cthulhu fhtagn."

Re: Necromancing for the Lord

Does this mean the temple ceremony is part of the necronomicon?

And if the PofGP is based on the Egyptian Book of the Dead...

Does that mean that Joseph didn't die at Carthage and lived to become H.P. Lovecraft?

Re: Outward expression

I find the promulgating the idea of an "outward sign" a disingenuous attempt to create an excuse for wearing them.
