Re: NOMference Fall 2019 Sunday Morning

Nelson 821 million going hungry without regular access to food is a recent high, but is just returning to where it was 10 years ago, and is actually a decrease as a percentage of total population vs a decade ago. Overall for the past 50 years, we have made global progress in lifting people out of p...

- 5 to Gonzalez for not speaking in his native language.

Remember when that was a thing? When was the last time that someone spoke in a language other than English since the first conference when they said they could speak in their native language?

Re: NOMference Fall 2019 Sunday Morning

Proud of my family. Majority sleeping through this parade of drivel. Remainder playing games on phone. I don’t know, if my husband isn’t going to pay attention, why does he even turn it on. He read through the first half, now he is working on getting his shoes cleaned up, and out of the room part o...

Did they wash out Gong’s ethnicity with make up and lighting?
They tried to prop up the fact that he adds diversity by showing old pictures from his family tree...two white women and his Chinese great grandfather.

I am late to the party. Fortunately I missed every session yesterday. Praise the Flying Spaghetti Monster!

So far I have -10 to Gong for lots of covenant path references.

I am giving Franco -5 for speaking in Primary voice despite the fact she is not from the USA.

Re: 420

Where are you at in terms of dose right now, and what strain is in your edible, sativa or indica? They say sativa is more "energizing" and indica is more "relaxing". I tend to agree that I get more "effect" from sativa. Edibles are great and my preferred method of 420 enjoyment, but it does take tim...

Re: Goodbye Garments

Take another step and throw them in the trash can with the symbols in tact. That's what I did. When I first stopped wearing them I thought it would be therapeutic to have a bonfire and watch them all burn. Then over time I realized that burning them was what they wanted you to do to dispose of them...

Re: General Konference Predictions

Eyring will cry. Temples in foreign places will be announced that will never be built. Many will audibly vote opposed but not be heard except in the conference center. Several messages along the line of "stay in the boat" and vilifying doubt will be given. Memes with flowery quotes from conference w...

Dating and Pornography - Ensign 10/19

Saw this link on another board and clicked through to read it: https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/study/ensign/2019/10/dating-and-pornography?lang=eng Clearly the pressure of having bishops ask the young men about their pornography usage isn't achieving the desired results, so now we need to make s...

Re: I need help. Im so lost, I hurt, she hurts. I have no hope.

Boozer, you aren't crazy or stupid. You need help, and I can relate to the feeling of not knowing where to turn and felling like the only place to go for help is these types of message boards. I agree with alas on the recommendation to look into the love languages. That can be a quick way to figure ...

Re: How to skip Priesthood mtg?

I am late to the discussion, but my method of skipping priesthood meeting used many of the methods and suggestions here. They all can work. The one that worked best for me for when I was in the situation like it sounds like you are in now (spouse cares a lot that you attend), is to get on the primar...

...mic drop... Bravo NBI! I was laughing out loud reading this. Brian Hales should be ashamed of himself. I am sure he has read some pretty good books but the truth is responses like this make him look like a real dodo. What it all comes down to for me is this: if God commanded and approved of the ...

Re: Pres Nelson's BYU Speech Today

I am just now getting up to speed with Ol' Nellie's talk. Can anyone explain why he would even talk about the policy reversal like this right now? I know it was a topic of discussion for a while after it happened, but like most news, seemed like the tide had past. Is the policy reversal still a hot ...

I believe it was the apostle Paul at the last supper dinner table. Jesus said, “Paul can you give us a blessing on the food?” Like all things, it morphed over time. And Paul said, "Fine then! It has Mormonism all wrong though...it says "the Bible is considered the fundamental sacred text by Mormons." We perhaps should correct them to let them know the real fundamental sacred texts are: 1. Whatever is being written on the yellow pad in the middle of the night by Rusty Nelson with his supe...
