Re: Did Jesus exist?

Did Jesus exist? It's likely.

If he did exist, it's too bad he never actually wrote any of his "teachings" down, and neither did any of his contemporaries.

The writings about him were written many years after he was dead, by unknown authors. Not exactly great "source material".

6) You tell me Well, you asked... The Book of Mormon, and the myriad issues with it, was the final straw that caused my belief in the LDS Corporation to come crashing down. Re: 8 tactics Satan uses in anti mormons

When Joseph bought the papyri scrolls, the edges were tattered, so he trimmed them off and put them in a safe place. He then translated the scrolls into the Book of Abraham. Those scrolls have been lost. What has survived are the tattered edges. It is the edges that the Egyptologists have examined ...

Goodness.

Have those folks ever seen a mirror?

I don't know whether to laugh or cry about that "article".

I guess I'll do both.

Possibly at the same time.

I hope it doesn't cause me any physical damage... :D :(

Re: nom/AMA with John Hamer

Toronto congregation will have some online meetings beginning next month. I'll post details here as they become available. I'm dead serious when I say: This is the only "religious" meeting I have any interest at all in attending at this point in my life. So, yes John, please let us know when your o...

Re: New Leaks: Guidelines to Common Questions

Shouldn't Prophets, Seer and Revelators use inspiration and or revelation to answer questions? Are all of their magic rocks broken? Pretty sad. They really are literally trained to dodge the question, and "Answer the question that should have been asked ." Edit: Lots of " Carefully Worded Denials " ...

Well, this actually just became interesting. As noted, we haven't attended for a few weeks. Recently talking with Mrs Kish, I said I still plan to vote opposed at the next opportunity. I decided to look at the calendar, and low and behold, our next Ward Conference is March 26. This is when Mrs Kish...

Re: Hatred of a Chapel

Sorry Doc. That's all very heart-breaking. Though I can't relate to the physical abuse, I definitely relate to the "not good enough" feelings. For me I think it's basically that I got conditional love from my parents. As long as I was "mormon-ing" good enough, I got lots of praise. Otherwise not so ...
