Re: What's in Your Twighlight Zone?

My Twilight Zone?

Sometimes I think my entire life is nothing more than an episode of the Twilight Zone. One of the scary, nightmarish episodes, that never ends; Not a fun episode with cute aliens* and such...

*Yes, I mentioned aliens just for your benefit Kish-Kori.

I was in the mood for some neurological tingles (The Spirit™ ?) via the Musical Three Nephites today, so I thought I'd share... Rush - Bravado If we burn our wings Flying too close to the sun If the moment of glory Is over before it's begun If the dream is won Though everything is lost We will pay t...

Re: Sticking Around in Stalag 13

Yesterday I talked with Wendy Montgomery, the lead Mama Dragon herself. She was speaking at a group discussing the November policy released a year ago. Among the things she recommended, she wanted us who remain in the LDS Church to be the safe ally for LGBT teens to escape safely. I was initially a...

Re: Disclaimer

Some lady got up yesterday and yapped on and on about the BOM being a guideline for our day and how wonderful it would have been to live in the nephite cities. It was a hoot to liken it to a desire to live with Fred Flintstone. Nephites! Meet the Nephites! They're a modern scripture family. From th...

Re: ExMo logo - WARNING - Temple Info

I guess in my old age (kidding, I'm only 34), I just think, "Why on Earth would I instantly want to make an enemy of the person behind me or god forbid the police officer behind me is an active Mormon". I honestly don't think many active members would even realize what that sticker actually represe...

Re: ExMo logo - WARNING - Temple Info

They are using the symbols of another religious group (Mormons) and saying something offensive (by displaying it) in order to differentiate themselves from those around them. Since the mormons stole these "religious symbols" from the Freemasons, do the mormons really have a right to be offended? Th...

Good thing for Tyler there wasn't a fire on the set. He wouldn't have had any protection. Also be grateful there were no chain saws!! I've been told wearing garments while doing yard work could protect me from a chain saw accident like my visiting teacher's "uncle" Ah... The old "Chainsaw-Garment U...

If / when I attend a meeting nowadays, I usually "forget" my tie.

But... I'd make the sacrifice to wear a tie like that one. Time to give the family shoppers a goal of finding me a REALLY bright rainbow tie...

Re: November 5 Policy - How to publicly remember it?

I'd like to do something, most likely on Facebook, to mark the 1 year anniversary of the Policy. I'd like to be able to post something (an article, blog post, etc) along with a few thoughts of my own. I am not wanting the nuclear option but I would like to agitate for good. You could post this link...

Re: It's the little things...

But there is one photograph containing three people I have never met and neither has my wife. I have increasingly disliked seeing the smiling mugs of Dieter, Hank, and Tom in my front hallway despite how nice these guys probably are in real life. Maybe it's just me, but how to those three dudes not...

Re: Dad confronts me about FC

I talked about how much I resented the implication that I am betraying the church This still bothers me to this day. When you leave or you find information that is unflattering to the church, people assume that by learning it or having an issue with you are betraying the church. This was mentioned ...

I love the video idea. Something I could envision doing myself. How has the reception of the video gone?

Now, go and make a video playing all of those instruments in the background.

Now that seer stones are ok again will Desert Book be rolling out a new line of them for Christmas? And maybe something that looks something like a Ouija board but for communing with Jehovah. If paying for coffee is against the WoW...

That leads me to believe that FREE coffee is NOT against the WoW.

I think Holy the Ghost just confirmed my belief to me. Bring on the free, evil, dark, roasted-bean based beverages! :ugeek:
