Moving sustainings to Saturday morning was predicted. Some have speculated that they moved it up a session to avoid any plans by groups to vote opposed. You have to get tickets ahead of time and if those groups got tickets to the Saturday afternoon session, then the church outmaneuvered them.

It's more of an admonishment to the members than a prayer. Passive aggressive praying.

I don't know why they needed a proclamation for that, other than Nelson wanting to issue a proclamation during his tenure.
