Such nonsense about the Curse of Ham. Look, if you cook it properly ham is perfectly safe!
Ham is the best meat in existence. Curse, nothing!

Re: I'm not a fan of vandalism, but the point is hard to argue

A man would shudder should they hear us talk about killing folk, but it is one of the greatest blessings to some to kill them, This kind of thinking is disturbing, and it's reflected in the Vallow-Daybell case. Even though that has nothing to do with skin color, it's still the same mindset. As far ...

No tracting <-- HUNH?
Are missionaries not required to tract any more?....or is that just on a mission by mission basis?
Maybe no tracting because of COVID?

It's official. “The remains were taken to the medical examiner’s office where an autopsy and positive identification was performed. It is with heavy hearts that we now confirm that those remains have now been officially identified as those of JJ Vallow and Tylee Ryan,” Rexburg Police Assistant Chief...

Re: New Information on Lori Vallow case.

Yeah, I won't ever be able to warp my head around how they were able to kill the kids, and then run off to Hawaii for a wedding/honeymoon. Only a bona fide sociopath and/or psychopath could do that, I'm sure. Of course, as far as pinning it on god: Lori thinks that Jesus will be back next month to ...

Re: New Information on Lori Vallow case.

My initial reply about the families is just the budding skeptic in me having to state the facts out loud. Gotcha. Good practice. Question: what kind of criminal buried people they murdered in their back yard? Like they wouldn’t eventually be discovered??? My understanding is that Chad was planning ...

Re: New Information on Lori Vallow case.

Some of the "families" (grandparents and other relatives) have said that the remains are JJ and Tylee, but the "Authorities" have not yet verified. I went back to the news sources and you are right. But if the families are convinced the two human remains are the children, I am prone to think it is ...

Re: What are you drinking right now?

I haven’t replied here in forever, so this is kind of an update. I have been drinking coffee now for a few years, for medicinal purposes. It gets enough caffeine into my system to calm the ADD, with out drinking so much liquid that I am water logged. I still hate it. Still drink it way weak with cr...

Re: A fun quiz for you and your favorite TBM's

But what are these people sealing? Isn't a sealing a closing of some sort? (like sealing an envelope, or sealing a room so no one gets out) Or were they gluing themselves to something? God, maybe? Or like little Jackie Paper who loved that rascal Puff the Dragon and brought him strings and sealing ...

Re: Connecting to middle way Mormonism

They want there to still be a connection between God and Joseph Smith. They want the priesthood to still have some actual supernatural power. They want being in the church to still make them a little bit better than everyone else. They want the BoM to be inspired if not historical. But they are hap...

8. ...was martyred to seal his testimony with his blood. This is a very strange claim and the points Random made were very good. I think people may have been using the idea of people, objects, and ideas being sealed with blood for a long time. Religious guy, John Hus, refused to recant before he wa...

Re: What are you doing to protect your family against the virus?

Actually, if you look at the data that Utah posts on their website, more people are not being tested. The peak of people being tested was April 20th: with a little over 5700 tests, and if you look at the graph, the "curve" basically goes down from there. Yesterday there were ~2900 tests, and ~540 p...

Kind of a tangent, but here is a deleted scene from the movie version of Saturday's Warrior, for anyone who has not seen it and might find it interesting: https://youtu.be/Jp86mQX127M That turned into watching "Went with the Wind" from the Carol Burnett Show, then some clips of Phyllis Diller. Re: What are you doing to protect your family against the virus?

snip You bring up good points. I was saying that already being infirm makes it more possible to die from the virus. I, personally, don't view it as more dangerous than the flu that goes around every year-yet said flu does kill people, usually the infirm. For those affected, the possibility is 100%....

Re: What are you doing to protect your family against the virus?

I'll see if I can find it, but about a month ago, I read an article that said the economy would have been harder hit had there been no lock down. Coronavirus would have torn through the entire workforce and people would be too sick to work and the economy would have really been mired. In Hong Kong ...

Re: What are you doing to protect your family against the virus?

My hell, people, do you have any idea how insensitive talk like this is to people who have actually lost family members in the pandemic? I apologize if it sounds insensitive. There is no doubt in my mind that the virus has killed people. It's a real virus. It's a real danger to the old and to the w...
