Re: "He" and "Him"

Who are these easter testimonies for? Mormons or non-Mormons?
It's virtual signaling by the poster to all other Mormons that the poster is fully in the tribe.

It's weird to you now because you are out of the tribe.

The same goes for testimony meetings. It's all tribal communication.

I've also heard they are going to be installing these round tubes about 25 ft high but that nobody knows why.

Speculation is that they are building teleportation tubes based on the spirit's proactive discernment.

Sorta like the elevator shafts.

There's one unintended consequence of this timeline. My great great great grand parents were married there. My great great grand parents were married there. My great grandparents were married there. My grandparents were married there. My parents were married there. I was married there. My kids won't...

M8, I like your thoughts! Now substitute for the garmy underwears... Does anyone really think or believe that Jesus Christ or God care what your underwear looks like or (members) spending large sums of tithing money to wear it? It's appalling how this extremely wealthy real estate corporation gets a...

They are the Starbucks frappuccinos. yummy.png I started off just sipping the vanilla. I've also tried caramel, salted caramel, and mocha. I like salted caramel the best. I love these. I travel sometimes for work and one of my co-workers in another state bought me two six packs for the week I was t...

Re: Mr. and Mrs. Græy's Stuff

Hey Red, thanks for following up. Long story short, my current employer re-upped their counter offer without me adding anything to the table. I essentially got a raise over their original counter which beat my new job offer, and a promotion to boot. All in, it would cost us ~$800/month to leave at ...

Re: NOMfrence Spring 2019 stats

Wow! In all the time I've noticed NOM conference threads, this is the first time I've seen anyone score as low as Nelson has thus far this year. Yep he was pretty heartless to the families that don't fit the Fam Proc ideal. Also, he threw shade at the Beatles. To be fair, he probably still thinks t...

Re: New and Confused (so long its not true, one little woman...)

I listened to the Mormon Stories Podcast with Tom Phillips where he shares about the 2nd anointing and his experiences with Holland. Crazy, the whole thing. I just thought I would ask you guys if you had heard any of those that you thought were really interesting. There are a lot of them so I would...

Re: Ward Council is Closed (Minded)

Good job speaking up. Those meetings are hard. I worry about the idea of teaching the youth to learn from the spirit, not outside sources. The closest to crazy I've ever been was caused by me trying to follow the spirit in all things. I was clinging to feelings about what can of soup to buy and ran...

What got you banned over there back in 2010?

Talking about the ya-yas?
Hearing this usage of the term ya-yas adds new meaning to that Patti Labelle song, Lady Marmalade.

I usually count the ceiling tiles and floor boards in the gym during sacrament meeting.

Challenge accepted!

Have you done the word search comparison on the written talks online?

That would be interesting to do for the whole GC population.

You have my vote for Ward Inoculation Minister! Our extended family always gets together post conference to have a "favorite talk" conversation. It's apparent that something is in the water and my in-laws can't seem to figure it out but came to the same concerned conclusion of your ward council memb...

Re: Is There A Connection Between The Policy Reversal & New Legislation Passed In Utah?

Yup, I agree. I was hopeful that the leaders realized how unChristlike this policy was and had a softening of their hearts. Too many of us have been at this for a long time. At what point do we give up hope and realize the Corporate Church doesn't follow the teachings of Jesus Christ? Not even thei...

Re: Is There A Connection Between The Policy Reversal & New Legislation Passed In Utah?

Purely a coincidence. Everyone knows that God can change his mind for no reason. Wendy confirmed when she left the room, she paused for a moment with her ear to the door. She vaguely heard Russ say out loud "are you sure? We just changed the policy not even 5 years ago!! Ok, ok, I'll write this down...

Re: New and Confused (so long its not true, one little woman...)

No judgement here Boozer. I've personally known a man or two that have been caught up in the false label of porn addiction from the LDS viewpoint. 2 times a month viewing porn doesn't qualify as an addiction not does having a strong healthy libido. Yet many LDS find that the combination of the two e...

Re: Message from Mormon.Org

I heard from the IT folks over in Riverton that a computer glitch sent out the message to a secret email distribution list of all known members who have confessed to masturbation. When brought to the attention of the Q15, Elder Bednar said, "well let's not worry too much about it. The Deacons, Teach...

Gee Red!

Re: Russel Nelson kneels and kisses the feet of LGBT advocates

Religion is so silly.

A grown man, wearing funny robes, getting down on his knees to kiss the feet of a man who is their to worship him.

I guess it's part of the role he has to play to appear as a servant of God.

But why does God require feet kissing?
