Trump found guilty in hush-money trial. 12 jurors have concluded weighing 34 felony counts of falsifying business records against Trump. https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/live/2024/may/30/trump-hush-money-trial-verdict But this isn't a crime. Show me one other case in American history where this ...

Re: Families CAN be together forever also means they CAN'T

So next time you're doing sealings in the temple (assuming you believe in the magic), be aware that you are making happen for other peoples' families what God will not grant you for your family. Or we could let go of all these made-up ideas and seek happiness for everyone we know in the here and now.

Re: Louisiana Requires Ten Commandments in Classrooms

I think this assault on the US Constitution is in anticipation of Donald Trump and the dissolution of the United States. States that join in with the new Confederate States of America (unless they call it Trumpland) will readily adopt this practice as well as Americanized versions of fascist symbols...

Re: Keeping up with Trump

Trump's probation interview revealed that as a convicted felon he still possessed a firearm.

Trump was not wheeled into the room on an upright gurney and wearing a Hannibal Lecter mask as safety would normally dictate.

Re: Legal Defense Fund puts the smackdown on BYU-Hawaii

The folks at the Interpreter to the Saints Foundation might argue that such protections do not accrue at BYU-Hawaii because the original priesthood was limited to the Levites and this so-called "student" is clearly from the tribe of Ham. Some of the SeN posters* might call for his expulsion and ex-c...

This is not one of those situations where we can reasonably blame it on Canada. We must blame the Curse of the Garmies on the Masons!!!

Re: BoM Generations - oops!

Was this a formal debate or an online discussion, Moksha? I have heard about it but did not witness it directly. It was a debate printed in academic journals: One hosted by Jenkins at Baylor University and one with Hamblin at BYU. They would go back and forth arguing. Several of the junior apologis...

Re: BoM Generations - oops!

He kept calling me an idiot for being too ignorant and narrow-minded to acknowledge the overwhelming mountain of BoM evidence. I finally asked him to produce ONE SINGLE Nephite artifact and the conversation fell instantly silent. You produced his Kryptonite, which was a call for evidence. The apolo...

Re: BoM Generations - oops!

There is not one single piece of evidence that an archaeologist could point to and say "this is a Nephite artifact." Not one. Compare that to ANY known people or civilization anywhere and at anytime in human history, even going back millions of years before recorded history. The turning point in th...

Re: John Bunyan inpriation for Book of Mormon?

Joseph Campbell revealed the pattern. Countless stories follow the hero's journey, also sometimes called the monomyth. A protagonist ventures away from home, faces challenges, transforms, and returns with newfound knowledge or treasure. From ancient myths to modern blockbusters, the hero's journey ...

I'm wondering if Trump's deny everything strategy will hurt him at sentencing. Judges usually expect criminals to show some remorse when extending leniency.

She found out through our recently returned missionary granddaughter that the 2nd counselor in the stake presidency plays D&D. Wait until she finds that Joseph pretended to pull his sacred writings out of a rock. Talk about rockomancy!!! "Eenie Meanie Chili Beanie, the stone is about to speak."

Not to mention the lost sleep when you get woken up in the middle of the night by your husband kicking you out of the bedroom because he is getting a message from his priesthood antenna.
Didn't that happen somewhere in real life?

In 3rd Nephi, Jesus personally destroys a bunch of cities to usher in his visit, obviously not sparing innocent children.

Maybe AI could create a kinder and more loving God than the traditional Mormon God. Perhaps a humble set of Brethren as well.

Re: Keeping up with Trump

A claim by Donald Trump that FBI agents were authorized by the Department of Justice to shoot him when they appeared at Mar-a-Lago to retrieve stolen government documents left a former DOJ official stunned at the extent the former president will go to incite his followers. The headline noted this w...
