Re: Ruminating on Mormon Ideas

I would not make the script specifically about the Mormon church but about a fictional church and its bizarre doctrines, history and scriptures, and its money laundering university. It would be fun if some scenes of the movie were shot in the catacombs of the Neil A. Maxwell building and showing th...

The speaker talked about genealogy and attending the temple.
That is quite a mismatch between the season and the topic.

Re: Ruminating on Mormon Ideas

Mormonist Hugh Nibley put forth the idea that Mormons came way later than the rest of humankind Did Nibbles really teach that? It balances so well between truth and parody that I could see it going either way. Nibley found it hard to deny evidence of the past and so the pre-Adamite idea helped him ...

Re: Tithing Unsettlement

I agree, but the little economic psychology I have heard makes me wonder: if anyone could go to the temple who wanted to, would the lack of scarcity mean that no one actually wants to? Would anyone go if just anyone could go? If I'm being honest with myself, one of the main reasons I kept a temple ...

Ruminating on Mormon Ideas

Adam and Eve are claimed as the first Mormons. Not sure how they got to be Mormons. Perhaps it was something in the water, or else appearing in the world in Jackson County Missouri, while the rest of their descendants resided in the Middle East. Mormonist Hugh Nibley put forth the idea that Mormons ...

Those are really fantastic stones. Did they come from Madagascar?
I saw them advertised on Temu and realized they could bring holiness to the Lord for all TBMs and Noodlists.

Re: Tithing Unsettlement

I understand the Church's dilemma. When you practice being deceptive in all things, it is hard to shift gears and tell the truth when it comes to legal filings.

Bishop Graey's ward is lucky that he is honest.

The Colorado Supreme Court has ruled that Trump may not appear on that State's ballot due to his insurrection.

Perhaps Colorado Republicans could substitute Jodi Hildebrandt and Ruby Franke as their party's nominees.

I do not wish to expend the energy to relook news items. If you were to switch news channels you would know these things already.

The Colorado Supreme Court has ruled that Trump may not appear on that State's ballot due to his insurrection.

Re: Keeping up with Biden

I dont support counting uniquely unsolicited ballots that were mailed en masse. Do you mean mail-in ballots? Works well in Utah. I understand Trump doesn't like mail-in ballots because most people vote against him. Please support your accusations. Thanks. Fact-checkers have always found a huge numb...

He goes to places and talks to people that no one else addresses. He has a knack for finding very articulate interviewees.

Mormon Missions ARE Human Trafficking

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5qJNAultGtQ Liza's idea is quite intriguing: Institutional bondage (religious servitude?) of a sales force to recruit more dues-payers. The Church holds the passports and zealously dissuades those providing free labor from leaving. Listen for 5 minutes and see whethe...
