Re: Hook, line and creamer
Weren’t the most recent and most substantial changes announced in between conferences? I would then expect the next set of changes to be announced in the coming months. More control over the message that way.

I am so sorry for how painful this season of the year and the season of your life is for you right now. Thank you for sharing your innermost feelings with us! I feel as we are a small community of friends and try to support each other through our life’s journey. I don’t think either one of us was ev...

Re: My sister has taken her own life
I am so sorry, Sparky. I cannot imagine the pain your sister and the whole family must have gone through over the last few years, and I am sorry for the added pain after her passing. Hoping everyone will be able to find peace in whatever way they find comforting.

Re: "It's like I'm in a nightmare and I can't wake up."
I believe that what your family is saying about feeling like they're in a nightmare is accurate. Their usual dream has changed and not in a direction that is acceptable for them. The thing is, I don't believe they really want to wake up, as the reality would be that their previous lives were spent d...

But you have figured it out! You just came to a different conclusion than her!TestimonyLost wrote: ↑Tue Apr 11, 2017 10:56 amEvery time I talk about my faith crisis with my wife, she brings up how she went through a period in her teenage years where she didn’t believe but she got through it. Been there, figured it out, you can too.

I agree, you most certainly are doing the best you can under the circumstances. And no, none of that is your fault, or either one of us. What a steaming pile we find ourselves under sometimes

Re: Satan
Modern stories of Satan? I’m not sure I know any, but when grown adults at church talk about Satan meddling with their lives I think it is very silly. It’s like my kid telling me Grover told them to paint on the walls. Sure. Whatever. Once we realize that his existence is just a way for a person to...

I would agree with wtfluff here, it's about the tradition. Just a habit. And probably a good way to tell someone something you want to say but can't just come out and say it to their face, much easier enshrouded in a PB, isn't it

Trophy , that's awesome and probably so unnerving at the same time. Glad to hear you're making some progress that feels good! Linked , I think if you could add something more personal to that "I miss you" statement, it would make it sound more genuine, as you actually mean it. I bet if someone said...

Re: "These issues have all been debunked"
Why won't they talk to you? I believe it's a matter of self preservation. They love you and wish you all the best but you are the one that that has gone off the "path" and as much as they love you, they need to preserve their own faith first.

Re: Blessings of Membership in Christ's True Church
What an interesting topic for a talk that you wife is assigned to give! Unless she asks you for advice about her talk, I would just totally bug out and let her figure out what the blessings of membership really are for her. You know, for her as a TBM, with a husband who is starting to see it differe...
