Re: What are you doing to protect your family against the virus?

So... washing hands, elderberry and knocking on wood. Okay, two questions: Was your mother a hamster? Did your father use elder berries and do they have a strong smell? Monty Python reference: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cAy4zULKFDU Haha, nice. Thanks for including the link. You know, I have th...

Re: New member

Yes, there are great people here. At least I think so. And they have made all the difference in my faith transition. I can't imagine coming through it all so well without everyone here. Although we each have a unique journey, many here can share the sentiment, "I'm sensing some things just aren't ri...

Re: What are you doing to protect your family against the virus?

Well, a friend recommended Elderberry, and I have been taking it since the start of the spring semester. I haven't been sick this year even though I work at a child care center once a week (with sick little ones who cough in my face and snot all over me) and I work in a public schools. If that's not...

Re: What are you reading right now?

I am currently talking a children's literature course. I just finished Out of my Mind by Draper for the class. It is a book about a young girl with cerebral palsy. She is very intelligent and the book shares her mind and journey. It was so good I immediately bought copies and sent them out my family...

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year! I wish so many wonderful things for all of you on here. I was terribly busy with school this past fall... six classes, hour+ long city commute, working, and single mom. I survived! And am happily divorced now. It was a rough year to be sure but every year is in its own way. Life is s...

Re: Women’s world cup

I didn’t watch it... I haven’t explored all the ways to watch sports after getting rid of cable... I need to figure it out because I miss being able to watch big sporting events like this. On the other hand... all I keep hearing about is the controversy about how much they get paid versus the men an...

Oh my gosh.... I just don’t understand how intelligent people can spend their life trying to convince themselves that this is okay... I mean I know I tried... and was miserable. I wish I could climb inside my aunt’s head to hear all her cog dis. Of course she gets worse (more closed minded) every pa...

Re: Greatest Film Series Of All Time Gets Long Anticipated Sequel

I just told the almost 18 y/o to check out Reservoir Dogs. I can’t stomach a rewatch but I think he may like it. Reservoir Dogs is fantastic IMO, I can't believe you think it's unwatchable. So many solid performances and a great premise for a film. It’s the violence. I can’t stomach it right now, b...

Re: What are you drinking right now?

I just can’t bring myself to drink coffee. I gave it an honest try. I don’t want super sugared up drinks and I don’t like coffee plain or cold. I do enjoy a wide range of teas now! I enjoy sweetening some with other teas like mint if it suits my fancy. Yogi’s Green Tea Kombucha is my current favorit...

I agree, I hope they do not punish him... although I think they will find ways to. Good for him! Even if he has a rough road ah...

They have liked most of the old movies I’ve shown them.... but they hated The Last Starfighter (booooooo). How is that possible??? If you really want to yank their chains, tell them you just remembered one of your favorite old movies, and show them Mac and Me . Your relationship will never be the s...

After we got home and we're changing out of our Sunday clothes, the Holy Ghost confirms that she was indeed wearing panties! OMG!!! She was wearing them OVER her garments!! Who wears TWO pair of underwear? Apparently we had a really busy weekend and didn't get to all of the laundry so she was relin...

I am more song loyal than artist loyal. I like the whole kit and caboodle of music like many of you. I’ll post what I love/own (becuase why not?) Soundtracks- Phantom of the Opera How to Train Your Dragon The Fast and The Furiuos soundtracks- Batalha, Danza Kuduro, How We Roll, Payback, Meneo, We Ow...

I feel for her.... it can be so mentally painful in the beginning (especially for women?). The betrayal really hurts.

Re: Greatest Film Series Of All Time Gets Long Anticipated Sequel

Saw the title and thought this would be an announcement of The Silmarillion , as another in a series of films based on the works of J.R.R. Tolkien. But that would be a prequel. I hope this turns out to be a fun movie marathon with my sons. They have liked most of the old movies I’ve shown them.... ...
