Hi, I'm Bonfire from the old forums

Post by Bonfire » Sat Oct 29, 2016 4:14 pm

Hey, I was looking for the old forums where I posted of enduring my crisis of faith while being a missionary. This has always been a wonderful and caring community, so I hope to return some of the kindness I have received (:

Welcome. I like the name. This forum reminds me of sitting around the bonfire. Good friends, stories and lots of laughs. Hand me a marshmellow.

Bonfire Welcome! A faith crisis while on a mission sounds interesting. I hope you return and share more. NOM is a welcoming spot indeed! I always say it is the best ward on the net! I look forward to hearing more of your story.

You were the Elder that popped in every few months and finished the mission within the last year right?

What happened after you got home?

Yes. I would also like to hear how things are going since your return. I have a TBM family, son on mission. Some of his friends both coming home and going out. I like to ask NOM questions and make NOM statements just to try and get a read on where they are (his friends) with regards to their faith and feelings about their mission.

The name reminds me of that Tom Hanks election movie, Bonfire of the NOMinees. Anyway, welcome. :D
Good faith does not require evidence, but it also does not turn a blind eye to that evidence. Otherwise, it becomes misplaced faith.

Welcome! Glad you found us.

I too would love an update regarding how you're doing now :)
