Heres my family

Post by Emower » Wed Jul 26, 2017 9:25 pm

Not trying to push the quintessential Mormon eternal unit here, but I wanted to share a picture of what I love the most in this world. I sometimes say that I would be willing to swallow all my issues, go to church, attend the temple, pay tithing, and do all that the church asks if that is what it took to be with these people. I mean that and I want to share the faces of those that make me willing to do that. I am getting kind of choked up with emotion writing this knowing that DW is not asking that of me. I have the best of all worlds right here in one. I would do anything for them.

I hope this is not insensitive given the heartbreak that MoPag is going through right now, or the emotional trauma Linked is going through, or the agony anyone else is going through. I hope that everyone here finds to peace and happiness. I know I appreciate this life inestimably more now since my half exit. I think it is important to figure out what you think is important in life. No judgement if it is not what we are all taught it should be. I just wanted to share those that are important to me. I am very glad I found you guys on this board and the friendship I have with you.

Beautiful family.

I can understand why you would be willing to give so much to make them happy.

You are a very rich man! It certainly is worth it. I'm glad you have a DW that is understanding and willing to love you over the church. That is a difficult and rare thing in a spouse because of the indoctrination of the church that more often than not, is harmfully between relations with loved ones. I was fortunate to have a DW that also loved me through my faith crisis and loved me more than the church. She eventually came along with the journey and now I'm convinced we can make it through any challenge thrown our way and our relationship would survive, as long as we continue our unconditional love and respect for each other. Thanks for reminding us for what matters most in this life.

My DW keeps wanting to adopt those kids. I finally got to see them play in person last January. DW is sill in mourning over loosing Fleury.

This isn't a family photo but it does pack a message:

Moksha, I am a member of 2 online communities outside of FB. NOM and Cougarboard. I can relate to both for different reasons. I mostlylurk on CB as I dont share their koolaid or optimism anymore, even though I love the cougars (I grew up in Provo). I love NOM for different reasons. We are the quiet minority in Mormonism.

Your post (as your posts always do) made me laugh!

Thanks for sharing this! It's not insensitive at all. This made me smile. :)
