Number of wards and branches by country

This is for encouragement, ideas, and support for people going through a faith transition no matter where you hope to end up. This is also the place to laugh, cry, and love together.

I'm in the Cuba 3rd ward.

It's a well known secret the Bishop smokes cigars.

An American Mormon, a Brazilian Mormon, and a Mexican Mormon walk into a bar. The bar tender welcomes the Mormons and steps out from behind the bar to offer them a handshake. The Brazilian Mormon greets the bar tender with a hug and a kiss on the cheek. The Mexican Mormon greets the bar tender with a firm handshake, pulling him in tight with a big hug and a kiss on the cheek. The bar tender steps forward to greet the American Mormon with a beer in his out reached hand. The American Mormon steps forward, grasps the bar tender's beer and asks "What is that?" The bar tender responds, "oh come on Joe, it's your favorite beer. Don't worry, the other Mormons drink too!"

I think I have been to that bar ;-)

Nigeria and Ghana are blowing up! I wonder if we will let them really come into the church or if they will apostatize and do their own Africanized version of mormonism?!!

You know they started out doing their own version before the church even knew about them right?

The RLDS had started African missions but abandoned them due to reasons. The LDS Church at that time was mired in their own apartheid policy. When the LDS Church finally established African Missions, they saw it as a miracle that some people actually knew something about Mormonism.
Good faith does not require evidence, but it also does not turn a blind eye to that evidence. Otherwise, it becomes misplaced faith.
