Favorite Book of Mormon Character

Post by moksha » Sun Dec 10, 2017 10:33 am

Who is your favorite Book of Mormon character? I had to wrack my brain for this but I will pick Morrighan the Temptress. In the video clip below you will see why she deserves consideration as a favorite character (or at least why Gillian Norris was cast in that role).

Of course, when I feel in the mood for some of the more violent scenes in the Book of Mormon I could well consider the Nephite maiden Daenerys Targaryen as a favorite character as well.

How about you?
Good faith does not require evidence, but it also does not turn a blind eye to that evidence. Otherwise, it becomes misplaced faith.

I can't argue with either of those choices Moksha!

I've had a hard time having any favorite anything about the BOM since I found out it is as all BS. Ammon was always my favorite badass dude.

I'm particularly fond of Surreptitium the Apologite. He's that most important and wily character who remains entirely between the lines while rotating land forms, widening necks of land, hiding elephant bones, undoing Jesus' complete rearrangement of geological features, dictating things that sound like 2nd Isaiah, erasing Reformed Egyptian stele, genetically engineering horses into tapirs, etc. I'm surprised people don't talk about him more. Without his herculean efforts people wouldn't have to rely of faith to gain a testimony of the Book of Mormon.

I'm partial to Kneehigh, the shortest prophet.

I'd like to see John Carpenter make a Book of Mormon movie where the head of Shiz sprouts spider legs and jumps right back into the battle.

I'll bet that's what happened in an early draft. It probably got cut when Oliver Cowdery came and insisted on realism, along with Ammon's gladitorial dragon combat and Jesus descending in a flying saucer.

Its too bad we lost the 116 pages.

So... What you're sayin' is I should be more impressed with Shiz's feats of strength, and not his head?

I dunno, a pushup without an extra 10lb head should be easier

The BoM always makes me think of that wonderful 80's cartoon He-man. Moroni is a mild mannered prince but with his magic sword and man-at-arms Teancum he becomes real bada$$ who dresses like a Castro Street entertainer. The holy ghost is Orko. The only one missing is She-ra because she's a woman.
