Anybody else marching with Sam Young this Friday?

This is for encouragement, ideas, and support for people going through a faith transition no matter where you hope to end up. This is also the place to laugh, cry, and love together.

I doubt I will bring a sign, but I might change my mind. The weather is looking promising, I hope I can leave the umbrella home and just wear my black fedora. :D

Wish I could. Listened to his interview with Bill Reel and fully support the cause.

Looks like the church is at least noticing.

Too little too late.

I’ll be attending a local rally since a flight to SLC and back for the march wasn’t an option.

Love it. Put a post-it on your middle finger that says that.

I'm also leaning toward no sign. If I had thought of it earlier maybe a T-shirt. Or maybe a placard on the handlebars of my bike.
I'm thinking of wearing my Five Wives Vodka T or maybe my Porter Rockwell Porter's Peach Whisky T...but then I'll just be looked at like an infidel. Perhaps I dig out the white shirt, tie, suite and missionary name badge!

That statement kind of makes me shudder, but it might actually be a good idea. Maybe the COB / CAB inhabitants would wake up a bit if an army of former missionaries marched on their castle "dressed" as missionaries.

Radical tangent here, but it's really sad that no one makes rubber Boyd K. Packer masks.

The March for Children seems to be gaining a lot of steam. I think there's going to be an impressive turnout and It's actually getting some positive attention from active believers. Mrs. Hagoth just learned that her TBM friend who volunteers for The Friend will be joining the march, and she said she sat in on a COB Primary meeting where they discussed sexual depredation in the church. We may have an issue here that actually crosses the isles.

LMAO! Dude that is gold plates on a hand cart!

So...Looks like I got 3 more work meetings tomorrow afternoon that have fetched up my plans to march. Please post up where y'all plan to meet up after words and I'll pray to Ipthar that my meetings are over by 4pm and I'm not too late.

Just reading on the Mormon D&D board that Sam Young has been charged by his Stake President with apostasy. Like the old saying says, "No good deed goes unpunished".

That's kind off old news. Sam posted that back in January. Yes, the SP accused him of apostasy but I don't think Sam has yet reported that they've begun formal proceedings. Yet. They'll get around to it eventually

I saw this on Reddit and it made me smile. Sams efforts have made it outside of the US.

Because nothing pisses of Men of God like trying to protect children from sexual abuse, tellyouwhut.

Still planning to be here for a few minutes around 11:45. 60 yo with a bike, short gray beard, gray cap, barely-discernible horns and hooves.
