Farewell, most probably

Post by Meilingkie » Sat Jul 21, 2018 8:18 am

Hello all,

It's been some time.
And many things happened, many tears have flowed, words were said.
Feelings have gone off the scale, of happiness, and sorrow.
All of them in equal measure.

This is it I think.
A new life.
My soon-to-be ex-wife is on holiday with her lover.
Seems she had an affair for almost 9 months beneath my nose.
She's happy, and since three weeks I can say the same.
I feel hope, happiness, and love.

I will move out in a week, to return to the lands where I was born and raised.
South of The Bridge as they call it here.
The final papers from the attorney arrived in the mail today, all I need to do is sign, and get my ex to sign.
So I will drive down to the camping where she's staying now in a mobile-home with her BF.
sign it, mail it, and be legally divorced, 20 years to the day after we said I do.

No anger anymore, a bit of sorrow and regret.
And apprehension about how the kids will be affected in the years to come.

We haven't heard a word from our LDS-ward at all.
SP seems to have issued a ban on discussing the Meilingkie-family.
Or so I heard from a friend, who happens to attend ward-council.
I don't really care anymore, I submitted my resignation 2 weeks ago with quitmormon.
My almost-Ex and the kids are ponderizing to do the same.

A new life, and a sweet homecoming await me with my parents.
Will live with them until I paid all debts my ex left me with, oh well....
It's only money, who cares.

And I have a very sweet and caring girl waiting till I get myself straightened out.

Happy, free, at last.

Meilingkie,

You continue to amaze me with how fully you seem to live life. It has its downs, and I sorrow with you over what you've told us of the downs. But, your ups seem amazing too. Thank you so much for sharing so much of your life with us. I think accounts like yours have gone a long way toward grounding me and helping me have a better understanding of those around me.

You are a courageous soul. I wish you well on your journey. The destinations of the new paths you've started are uncertain, but I'm sure you'll find joy and love on the way. Enjoy the new adventure.

Best wishes,
Zack

I have nothing left to give
Except kind wishes
And hope for healing.

I will miss you M. I like the idea in this post by 2bizE. Now you can create your own personal plan of happiness.
God is Love. God is Truth. The greatest problem with organized religion is that the organization becomes god, rather than a means of serving God.

Meilingkie, you've been a gentleman and a scholar on NOM and NOM 2.0. Your reports on the Church in the Netherlands were very eye-opening. Best wishes and happiness in all your future endeavors. If you ever feel like updating us, we would love to read about it.
Good faith does not require evidence, but it also does not turn a blind eye to that evidence. Otherwise, it becomes misplaced faith.

Good luck, and godspeed, brother.

Farewells don’t have to be forever.

I hope you will find joy in your future. I’m confident you are already well on your way.

Thanks for sharing your perspective along the way. Interesting informative and always fun.

Would love to buy you a drink next time we visit the Netherlands.

Best to you.

So I will drive down to the camping where she's staying now in a mobile-home with her BF.
Please for the sake of god at least tell us it was a double wide down by the river with a nice shuffleboard court and bingo on Tuesdays!

Something tells me you'll come out the other side just fine! Now get off the boards and go register on matchneederlands.com!

Meilingkie, Thank you for all your excellent posts and for being our friend. I learned a great deal about the Netherlands and Europe from reading your friendly and enlightening messages. I wish you all the best in the world; and I hope that from time to time, you will pop back in and say Hi, because we will really miss you. - Wndr.
