Who's up for a carpool to St. George Tuesday?

This is for encouragement, ideas, and support for people going through a faith transition no matter where you hope to end up. This is also the place to laugh, cry, and love together.

Who's up for a carpool to St. George Tuesday?

Post by Hagoth » Fri Nov 23, 2018 5:26 pm

I'm planning to drive (I live in Sandy) and Rob4Hope wants to join the fun. I'm hoping for a couple more people to help me stay awake on the return trip.

Please reply if you think you can make it.

Aw c'mon guys, Road Trip!

It looks like Rob's schedule doesn't jibe with mine, so I will be going down by myself unless I hear from anybody else.

The cricket is awfully cute, and the weather looks OK until Wed. Let me talk to my wife, and daughter (I watch my Grandkids on Tues.) and see what I can come up with.

Wish I could brother Hagoth, but I used all my travel points to come to the lunch the other day.

I'm thinking of leaving by 2:00, which should give us plenty of time to stop somewhere for dinner and get to the church well before the festivities. Earlier if you want. I'm happy to provide the vehicle and do the driving. It'll be a late drive back but now that coffee is my friend I'm more concerned about getting to sleep after I get home.

I'd love to join in on the tapir-trip South, but a random Tuesday this time of year just doesn't work with scheduling...

Does make you wonder if the timing is purely intentional to try to reduce the amount of media circus is going to happen with this.

I have no doubt this is the case. There's no reason they couldn't have postponed it as long as they needed to find a Saturday that would work.

If I was in SLC I would ride down with you. But nope I'm a northbounder so unless you want to make a detour and pick up?

You should record the conversation and post a podcast!

Here's a few suggestions for a name:

Tapirback Riders.
Excomm Support Team
Hagoth and the Blackhearts
Hagoth and the Blowfish
Hagoth and the Pips?
Hagoth and the Funky Bunch?
Hagoth and the Supremes?
Hagoth and the Wailers?
Hagoth and the E Street Band?

Maybe you should start a band and do that car karaoke thing? If watch that!

It turns out that our friend Hermey is riding with me, so yeah, it's sure to be good conversation.

I’m sorry I cannot get away, but I agree, the conversation should be excellent.

Have a safe road trip, y'all. It's a little far for a lad in Eastern Canada to make such a trip, but can I still send everybody my "thoughts and prayers?" I'm sure that will ensure a fair verdict.
