The idea that all "physical imperfections" will be healed in the resurrection is a nice idea but maybe doesn't carry the same weight that it used to. We are moving into a place of being more accepting of differing abilities. Not all people with a disability consider themselves "broken" and in need of fixing.

I know it's not really a physical thing, but my son with autism completely rejects the idea that he'll be resurrected as a neurotypical person.

Seriously. There was nothing in it that couldn't have been heard in any generic sermon from the last 200 years. It would be a bit fire-and-brimstoney if it wasn't so completely bland in delivery.
