Did they wash out Gong’s ethnicity with make up and lighting?
No! He is righteous and getting whiter.

See, it's easy not to be deceived. Just do exactly as told by the man who claims to speak for God. What could go wrong?

And sorry if this offends anyone but these threads just aren’t the same without MoPag!

Hope your rotation was better than conference.
I would be hurt if I didn't agree so whole-heartedly.

Another -100 for boogie man satan’s gonna get you.
The church has engineered your eternal family into a commodity that can be purchased with an annual fee. The fact that full tithing payment is a requirement for saving ordinances is the biggest red flag imaginable. Hagoth

Uchtdorf

-5 for assuming joining the church strengthens family bonds for everyone. It patently does not.
At times, when I was married the first time, I would wonder why my marriage was total hell when we were both active Mormons and had gotten married in the temple.
I can relate. If you dare grow and develop beyond the cult, then the church puts a lot of strain on marriage. The church’s main goal is NOT salvation and happiness - but their goal is for all to give the church and its leaders the glory. They care more that people stay in the lds cult’s “ship” than if they get in a ship of God.

Proud of my family. Majority sleeping through this parade of drivel. Remainder playing games on phone.

Giving a +10 to Uchdorf for Tolkein...just because I love those books, stories and movies.

I don’t know, if my husband isn’t going to pay attention, why does he even turn it on. He read through the first half, now he is working on getting his shoes cleaned up, and out of the room part of the time. Me, I am stuck here in a cast listening to pablum.

Same here.
I imagine many members go through the motions - like the mouse in the unbirthday party of Alice in wonderland. Someone suggested they as a NOM felt like Alice...

+2 for enjoying two-hour church. Yay for finding a positive!

I'm voting for 1hr church next year!

Same. He has never felt... sincere to me. But maybe that is just me.

I agree. I have no idea why they put on a show to "watch conference" when no one cares or pays attention. Pretty sure I was the same way when I believed as well.

I say nothing now because it isn't worth rocking the boat.

- 5 to Gonzalez for not speaking in his native language.

Remember when that was a thing? When was the last time that someone spoke in a language other than English since the first conference when they said they could speak in their native language?
