NOMference Fall 2019 Sunday Morning

Post by MoPag » Sun Oct 06, 2019 4:55 am

Good morning NOMs!

Sorry I'm not going to be watching live.

In case you missed it women's session started out amazing. Then it ended in a massive streaming pile of sh!t.

Let's hope today is better.

I just want to bear* my testimony that I am grateful to be sitting here on the west coast this morning watching waves crash on the beach instead of anywhere that is in earshot of GC.

Have fun, y'all!

*or is it bare? I can never remember whether you're bearing it like a cross or baring it like a nasty shoulder.

I'm not watching, either. I hope those who are watching pop in with their views and points.
There are 2 Gods. One who created us. The other you created. The God you made up is just like you-thrives on flattery-makes you live in fear.

Believe in the God who created us. And the God you created should be abolished.

Covenant Belonging = Existing in the Covenant Path?

At least he's not using the same tired phrase. +2

Dang, he still said covenant path.

Our video stream just stopped. No conference for us for a few minutes!

Gong

"John the Baptist, and Peter, James, and John came and restored the priesthood."

Still haven't found that chapter in the historical record though.

According to the JSPP, Brigham Young is the expert on the restoration of the priesthood, because who would know better than someone who was nowhere around during all the events. ;)

I’m here too unfortunately. So far Gong is pretty vanilla. Simple normal primary type talk. Jesus loves me I love Jesus, he tucks me in at night and brings me warm milk so I can sleep tight. I’d say no points either way.
The church has engineered your eternal family into a commodity that can be purchased with an annual fee. The fact that full tithing payment is a requirement for saving ordinances is the biggest red flag imaginable. Hagoth

+5 for promoting patience and thinking of the other first in marriage. He could have taken a marriage-covenant talk to a much worse place.

And you never will... I've studied that enough (and watched the Dan Vogel videos which are so well sourced) to know that it simply did not happen and the evidence is beyond overwhelming.
