NOMference Fall 2019 Sunday Afternoon

This is for encouragement, ideas, and support for people going through a faith transition no matter where you hope to end up. This is also the place to laugh, cry, and love together.

Edited temple questions?
-------------------------------------

My quick notes:

Faith in God father, Jesus, and HG?
Testimony of atonement and JC's role?
Testimony of restoration?
Sustain president as prophet, seer, revelator? Sustain members of first presidency? Sustain other general authorities and other local leaders?
All things done in cleanliness. Do you strive for moral cleanliness?
Obey chastity?
Follow teachings of JC in private and public?
Support or promote teachings contrary?
Sabbath Holy? (new)
Attend meetings, prepare for and worthily take sacrament?
Honest in all you do?
Full tithe payer?
Obey WoW?
Financial obligations to former spouse/children?
Keep temple covenants including garment?
Sins to be resolved?
Consider yourself worthy?

Wear garments under clothes. No change? Damnit!

I don't even know what changed yet, but I know that the first effing questions they ask still start with sustaining the profit and swearing allegiance.

Eff them.

Temples are based on Freemasonry (and high up degrees of Freemasonry have stated they must deny Christ). Temples are used to force members to give leaders allegiance and glory. Temples are also used by church leaders to make money - by charging for worthine$$.

"The temples are the crowning Jewel of the restoration."

There is no Biblical indication that there would ever be multiple temples. The only certified temple acceptable to the Lord will be the one built in Jerusalem. All others are frauds.

Except it's not a bicentennial year...that's not until 2030, but Russ can't pass up the glory and knows he'll be dead in another 10 years, so let's move it up!

I think that was (emphasis on was) one of the symbols of the temple. One temple. Monotheism.

-1000 to Rusty for continuing his method of deck chair shuffling, making "changes" that don't matter, and just trying to get people to hold on.

Can't wait to hear DW and others rave about how inspired everything that "changes" is.

Barf.

Thanks to everyone here for helping keep some portion of my sanity intact.

Interesting - I didn’t know that.

Well, I suppose there’s a lot of mental gymnastics to justify going against so much of the bible and even Joseph Smith, who said, Independence, MO is the place and where the temple would be built - & has been by his descendants.

Thanks again, everyone - you have saved my sanity!

What changed with the recommend questions?

Isn’t it crazy how this conference addressed nearly every complaint of the people leaving?

Humanitarian brag!
Garments required!
Worship RMN!
White wash Gong!
Keep inserting bishops into life’s of children!

Now time to total the points...I am especially interested to know how bad it was for Oaks at the Women's session yesterday. I think it may be a NOMference record score...
