Sunday Morning NOMference!!

This is for encouragement, ideas, and support for people going through a faith transition no matter where you hope to end up. This is also the place to laugh, cry, and love together.

"Christ's New Testament Church restored."

Except its not. Our church has nothing to do with Christ's early church. He didn't actually organize one.

Thank god the proclamation is brief and succinct.

Oh no! DW expects our whole family to do this Hosanna Shout thing. *shudder*

I think I feel an extended bathroom break coming on...
let the whole family see how weird the temple really is...lol
Yes - I can hear “Cringe” already.
Silver lining - thanks for the reminder.

Do you think they could have shoehorned a few more words into the title of this thing???

I'm reminded of what the (now defunct) blog Reasoning With Vampires used to say about Stephenie Meyers' writing: "sentences are not minivans."
What is the title of the proclamation?

Yeah. Disconnected from reality. These guys don't get it.

What looks stupider? A room full of thousands of people waving a hanky and chanting in unison... or one old guy doing by himself?

Hosanna to the left
Hosanna to the right
Hosanna up
Hosanna down

Shout
Shout
Shout

Yay Hosanna!
Good faith does not require evidence, but it also does not turn a blind eye to that evidence. Otherwise, it becomes misplaced faith.

One of my kids made me laugh as he said it in a high pitch voice & exaggerated swinging his arm like crazy. The others smiled at me. Only DH had his eyes glued on the TV.

This whole conference has been an embarrassment.

I wish my family would wake the hell up!!!!
The church has engineered your eternal family into a commodity that can be purchased with an annual fee. The fact that full tithing payment is a requirement for saving ordinances is the biggest red flag imaginable. Hagoth

I'm just in awe how much a nothingburger this has been. I can't wait to see all the memes on how this was a historic conference, yadda yadda. It was just soooo useless, boring and just...nothing.

Knowing that there's no church to attend for the foreseeable future, and by extension no talks and lessons based on these talks, will make the quarantine a little sweeter.

Imagine sitting through 6 months of Joseph, Joseph, Joseph, restoration, restoration, restoration every Sunday... wait, that's what we did before all this.

Well, I am not feeling spiritually fed. I'm going to find a good book.
