What is this “both sides of the veil” stuff everyone keeps quoting from talks? Never heard this before. Is this the latest thing, like “hasten the work” and the awful “covenant path”???

-100 for not wanting to know about bad things happening in an area that you're allegedly serving.

-100,000,000,000 (that's a hundred billion) for telling people in a FINANCIAL CRISIS to pay their tithing and solve their own problems.

Say it again for the people in the cheap seats: Paying tithing doesn't protect you from financial disaster. Paying tithing doesn't protect you from JACK SQUAT.
I think I will give him the symbolic score of -124 Billion.

Can I just say the best part of this session was me plugging in my earphones on the Peloton and riding for an hour?

Second best was coming here to read the commentary of what I missed...

Looks like we are still waiting for the thing that makes this conference unforgettable? Or did I miss something? More of the same, as always...blah blah.
"I don't need the Mormon church to be true, I just need it to not be verifiably false." - something I read somewhere...(help me give proper citation credit if you know where this came from)

Nelson started it. We're doing missionary work here. Our dead are doing it in spirit prison. So the work of "gathering Israel" is happening "on both sides of the veil".

Now it has become a catch phrase that many use to suck up to Rusty.

Hey RFM, there's another one for General Conference Death March.

Guess Jonathan had the faith not to be healed.

Imaginary voices from feeling guilty for doing nazi-like book burning. Doesn't mean the church is true.

I'd be more impressed if he tried to light the Book of Mormon and it didn't catch.

Nelson really is the legacy president, isn't he?
"And I don't need you...or, your homespun philosophies."
"And when you try to break my spirit, it won't work, because there's nothing left to break."

Get ready to sing "We Thank Thee Oh God For A Prophet" on NOM.
Good faith does not require evidence, but it also does not turn a blind eye to that evidence. Otherwise, it becomes misplaced faith.

Wilford Woodruff foresaw the Corona virus? Bullcrap, he couldn't even foresee the end of polygamy.

But thanks, Rusty, for addressing the #1 thing that concerns me: not being able to go to the temple. I'm not worried about people dying, or a worldwide economic depression, but OH NO people can't go to the temple.
