The October 2021 edition shares how Latter-day Saint Charities, the humanitarian arm of the Church, helped quell the spread of COVID-19 with a $20 million donation to support UNICEF’s role in the Access to COVID-19 Tools (ACT) Accelerator.
Good for the Church to contribute to this UNICEF effort, but does it seem like they are making an overstatement?

When placed on the scales of anti-mask/vax members rushing to return to the way things were, does the $20 million donation make the church a net queller or net contributor of covid?

Basically, just like all church "claims," I highly doubt there is any data/evidence so support any quelling.

They're mormonizing the word. You thought "quell" means quell, but it really means "quell."

The good news was that yesterday was the Canadian Thanksgiving. The traditional Canadian Thanksgiving dinner consists of:

Canadian Thanksgiving Menu
  • Maple Roast Turkey and Gravy.
    Harvest Rice Dish.
Mashed Potatoes with Fried Mushroom, Bacon, and Onion.
    Bread and Celery Stuffing.
    Maple Cranberry Sauce.
    Mincemeat and Pumpkin Layer Pie.
