NFL Team in Utah?

Post by 2bizE » Tue Nov 23, 2021 8:49 pm

Utah governor Cox recently indicated he would Utah hard to get a NFL team to Utah.
How profitable would that team be? Most games are on Sunday. No Utah, you can’t sign up and only play on Monday and Thursday nights.
The average NFL attendance is about 70,000 people per game, unless you are the chargers that have about 30,000 attend.
Could 70,000 skip church each week to go to an NFL game? What would need to happen for Utah to support an NFL team?

The Church could do a rotating assignment to stakes to attend the Sunday games in lieu of Sacrament meetings, with the understanding that the team must play away games on General Conference Sunday.
Good faith does not require evidence, but it also does not turn a blind eye to that evidence. Otherwise, it becomes misplaced faith.

Fortuna knows that the residents of Utah enjoy repeating useless actions over and over. If this were not so, a certain religion would not be so popular in the area.

All the other "professional" football teams have failed, why not try again? Just ignore history and trudge ahead. Tally Ho!!!

Would “The Covenant Paths” be a good name for a NFL team in Utah? It may be a hard pill to swallow while sitting in the stadium on Sunday (fake Sabbath day stolen from Jews) and cheering, “Kick A$$ Covenant Paths”…

If the latest MORmON Marketing Blurb™ were used as a name for the team, they would have to change the name every few years when the CEO of LD$-Inc. dies, and his replacement re-invents all of the marketing blurbs.

Taking teams from Louisiana is a time-honored Utah tradition. At least this name will make more sense that the Jazz.

If this possibly comes about will the "Utah Danites" be an appropriate team name?

Or they could us "Utah Polygamists" in an attempt for the church to use this as a way to further distance themselves from the 19th century. "Polygamy? No, your'e thinking of the NFL team in Utah. It definitely has nothing to do with our church."
