Some of this stuff has already been in the news and we're familiar with it but there are some new items that I'm sure NOMers would be very interested in:
Not only do they now need to have a temple recommend (not just be temple worthy) but they also have to answer these
ADDITIONAL questions:
Does this member have a testimony of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and of its doctrine, including its teachings on marriage, family, and gender?
Has this member demonstrated an exemplary and extended pattern (at least one year) of avoiding pornography?
(For staff and administrative candidates, the standard is at least 90 days.)

Good to see they are asking the important questions.
Is this member related to you?

The control the church is exercising over members is ridiculous. I read somewhere where a long time employee was deeply upset and suggested that he used to find joy in paying tithing. Now to keep his job, he is required to, which removes the choice of paying tithing based on his own account.
I think this is the starting point of a lot of BYU professors leaving and going elsewhere. I’m surprised there are not billboards yet in Utah county telling BYU professors to get out now when you can get a job.
Ps. There is an excellent Mormonland podcast about this. I learned many things around accreditation and how the church is getting into trouble…this all is a result of Holland’s musket fire talk.

Can you post a link? That would be interesting to listen to, and I'm a bit light on new podcasts this week.

Can you imagine someone applying for a staff position? "Yesiree, it has been exactly 91 days since I looked at porn. I am good to go!"

Good thing no one ever lies in a job or temple recommend interview. /sarcasm
I am also a bit confused at why there is a difference between the length of abstinence required for different jobs.
Job requirements:
- type 90 wpm
- lift up to 25 lbs
- manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- speak fluently from both sides of mouth
- abstain from pornography for a minimum of 90 days - or 1-year for elite or front-facing roles
- no tattoos, piercings, or witch marks
- willing to donate 10% of salary to employer
Did I miss anything?
I was once a cafeteria Mormon on a hunger strike. Have since found a buffet elsewhere.

If I haven't looked at porn but just wanked to my memories am I good to go?
Only if the memories fit the required time restrictions.

It's only been 45 days but I did it with one eye closed.

I think they should add the unspoken clause that always comes with church interrogations:
...or, equally acceptable, are you willing to lie about it to avoid being shamed, humiliated, and/or ostracized?

I’m not entirely sure if I am doing this right to link the Mormonland podcast. I have an iPhone and just go to the Podcasts app and search for Mormonland. The episode is 222 “The feds have cleared BYU, but is BYU in the clear”.

Haha! I love how you worded that. Makes it sound so bizarre and culty.

Lots of TR questions have that phrasing. It's an odd phrasing because it leaves room for:
Said: Yes, I have a testimony of tCoJCoLdS's teachings on marriage, family, and gender.
Not said: And that testimony is that it's all harmful relics from the past.

Considering much of what goes on at church is about maintaining appearances, being willing to lie to avoid the appearance of evil is probably considered a job skill.

BYU and the church continue to move closer to becoming the Westboro Baptist church…or the third reich.
