The problem with that challenge is that when I actually focus on Christ, when I ignore the philosophies of men and focus on what Jesus would do and has taught us by his example and life then it actually leads me away from the institutional church.

"Being in the church, praying, paying tithing, and making covenants will make life easier. Not really easier. In fact it will seem harder. But you'll have help so it's easier. You just won't be able to see, feel, or detect that help in any way and it will feel harder but really it's easier. Trust me!"
Well, I'm better than dirt! Ah, well... most kinds of dirt; not that fancy store-bought dirt; that stuff is loaded with nutrients. I can't compete with that stuff. -Moe Sizlack

I wasn’t listening but I thought I saw a flash of Ezra Benson come up on the screen while Rusty was yammering. Was that my imagination or did Rusty pay homage to ETB? If so it seems like another kick in the celesticals for Gordon and Tommy.

Oh Rusty, you poor demon haunted billionaire. The bad guys who hurt your feelings are dead and gone. Please move on.
The church has engineered your eternal family into a commodity that can be purchased with an annual fee. The fact that full tithing payment is a requirement for saving ordinances is the biggest red flag imaginable. Hagoth

It was just a very delayed transfiguration of Nelson into Benson so that you know he has the prophetic mantle.

The women have knocked it out of the park this conference. The dudes could learn a thing or two.
I wonder what Vegas odds would be given on the dudes learning a thing or two?
Good faith does not require evidence, but it also does not turn a blind eye to that evidence. Otherwise, it becomes misplaced faith.

I will now turn the time over to MoPag who presides at this meeting...
Thanks to Lostinmiddlemormonism for stepping up and not letting this tradition falter.
